1) The Plan is the brainchild of Swedish singer Theodor Jensen, otherwise known to Swedish pop audiences as the guitarist of cult band Broder Daniel. To date they have released three albums to moderate success in their native Sweden. While the band began as a four piece featuring Jensen along with organist Mikael Furugärde, bass player Peter Morén (of the more internationally famous Peter Bjorn and John) and drummer Niklas Forsell, Jensen is now the only member left.
2) The Plan is a Canadian mathcore outfit with Michael Catano from North of America. Influenced by the noisy post-punk from San Diego and Chicago math-rock, The Plan got together in the spring of 1999 as a side project for North of America vocalist/guitarist Michael Catano and Led By Regret bassist Mackenzie Ogilvie. After guitarist David Harrison and drummer Jon Hutt were recruited, the quartet played around their Halifax hometown and quickly signed to Matlock Records. Lance Purcell eventually took drum positions in time to release the Plan's first album, This Time Is not This Place, in 2000.
3) The Plan are also Cliff Thomas and Jon MacNish who release nice quality Detroit Techno music on a sublabel of Submerge Recordings and that sublabel also has the name The Plan.
From Boomkat:
Bringing the Past, Present, and Future together, comes the newest label from the Submerge family, THE PLAN. Having a sound that draws from their own personal experience of growing up in the Detroit area, Jonathan MacNish and Cliff Thomas, are some of the first artists at Submerge that have grown up hearing Detroit Techno. 8 Miles Wide chugs in with funky drums and emotional synth timbers while 4-Bit Logic is more of an elastic sounding dancefloor affair with its driving bass and percussion.
Embrace Me Beauty
The Plan Lyrics

I'm dying outside your door
With you the world's explained
Without you it comes back for more
I offer to fall dead upon the floor
And it keeps coming back for more
I stumbled and crawled these streets
I never knew how to act
I never knew how to meet their eyes
And I couldn't tell you the reason why
I just wanna light up the sky But I am not afraid, greed don't pay
You're there when she's willing
And you stay as long as you may
Embrace me beauty
I've gone through it all again
The things I lived and died for
Now I can't begin to understand
I had my love slide out of my hands
I met the stranger in my friends
Embrace me beauty
The lyrics of The Plan's song Embrace Me Beauty seem to be about a person who is experiencing a personal crisis, as they're standing outside the door of someone who they perceive as beautiful, hoping that they will offer them a sense of comfort or refuge. The person is distraught and dying on the inside, and they can't seem to understand the world without this beautiful person around. They offer to fall dead upon the floor, suggesting that the situation is so overwhelming that they're willing to give up everything for some relief. However, no matter how hard they try, they can't seem to escape the overwhelming feelings of sadness and emptiness that they feel.
The second verse suggests that the person has struggled with social anxiety and is disconnected from other people. They've been unable to connect with others, indicating a certain level of loneliness and isolation. They express their desire to light up the sky, suggesting a desire to make an impact in the world, but they're not willing to do it through greed or selfishness. The song ends with a plea to the beautiful person to embrace them, as they've gone through so much and can't understand the things they've lived and died for. They feel lost and empty-handed, as they've lost the love they once had and are left with nothing but the stranger that their friends have become.
Overall, the song seems to be about finding comfort in someone beautiful during a personal crisis. The singer is struggling to find a sense of purpose and to connect with others, and they're hoping that the beautiful person they're addressing in the song will provide them with a sense of relief and understanding. The lyrics are melancholic and emotional, emphasizing the singer's desperation and sense of emptiness.
