1) The Plan is the brainchild of Swedish singer Theodor Jensen, otherwise known to Swedish pop audiences as the guitarist of cult band Broder Daniel. To date they have released three albums to moderate success in their native Sweden. While the band began as a four piece featuring Jensen along with organist Mikael Furugärde, bass player Peter Morén (of the more internationally famous Peter Bjorn and John) and drummer Niklas Forsell, Jensen is now the only member left.
2) The Plan is a Canadian mathcore outfit with Michael Catano from North of America. Influenced by the noisy post-punk from San Diego and Chicago math-rock, The Plan got together in the spring of 1999 as a side project for North of America vocalist/guitarist Michael Catano and Led By Regret bassist Mackenzie Ogilvie. After guitarist David Harrison and drummer Jon Hutt were recruited, the quartet played around their Halifax hometown and quickly signed to Matlock Records. Lance Purcell eventually took drum positions in time to release the Plan's first album, This Time Is not This Place, in 2000.
3) The Plan are also Cliff Thomas and Jon MacNish who release nice quality Detroit Techno music on a sublabel of Submerge Recordings and that sublabel also has the name The Plan.
From Boomkat:
Bringing the Past, Present, and Future together, comes the newest label from the Submerge family, THE PLAN. Having a sound that draws from their own personal experience of growing up in the Detroit area, Jonathan MacNish and Cliff Thomas, are some of the first artists at Submerge that have grown up hearing Detroit Techno. 8 Miles Wide chugs in with funky drums and emotional synth timbers while 4-Bit Logic is more of an elastic sounding dancefloor affair with its driving bass and percussion.
We Stopped Running
The Plan Lyrics

It might hurt next time coming up here
We stopped running
Got used to stand by
Couldn't see the use of getting dirt in my eyes
I stopped hiding
Nothing's playing on the radio
But I stopped lying
What we endure
What we endured
You don't turn around
You lean on it until it falls down
We stopped running
And it's a crying shame
What we're up against not playing the game
We stopped hiding
The Plan's song "We Stopped Running" is a poignant commentary on coming to terms with life's struggles and facing them head-on. The artist encourages the listener to confront their issues no matter how painful it may be, by turning around and standing firm. The opening line emphasizes this point, urging us to "watch it" and warning that it "might hurt next time coming up here". Essentially, running away from our problems is not an option as it only delays the inevitable.
The second and third verses are introspective and personal, indicating that the singer himself had been hiding from the difficulties in life. The lyrics suggest that they got so used to standing by, avoiding the dust and the dirt, that they forgot the importance of confronting difficult realities. However, they realize that they can't go on living a lie and deceiving themselves - it's time to stop hiding and acknowledge the truth.
The chorus includes the words "what we endure, what we endured" which are repeated, underscoring the idea that life is full of challenges that we must face. The lyrics encourage the listener to lean on the challenge until it falls down or is resolved, rather than running from it. And although it's a "crying shame" what we're up against, we must refrain from avoiding the game and continue to courageously confront our problems to overcome them.
