3. A four piece Australian punk-rock band (2009- present), released "Blow Your House Down" 2010.
4. An indie rock group from Seattle.
3. Drawing musical inspiration predominantly from German and Scandinavian punk-rock and decorated with lyrics that throw back to everyone from Kiss to Chuck Palahniuk and Edgar Allen Poe, THE SCARLETS have a rare spark that is a diamond in the rough of rock music today. Their wide-ranging appeal has seen them share the stage with the likes of everyone from underground punk royalty to Bon Jovi, play metal festivals to cabaret nights, not to mention having regular radio play on several Australian radio stations both community and commercial.
Born of singer NELLI SCARLET and bass player NICK IVKAS combined love of ball-tearing rock'n'roll and respect for popular music, THE SCARLETS began as an idea to create a band that was everything they wanted to see and hear in a local band but couldnt find anywhere. Soon followed the arrival of pocket rocket drummer LIZZIE DYNON, where the three discovered they had a chemistry that couldnt go to waste. Enter guitar prodigy PETE DAVIES and the result is a ticking time bomb of sex appeal and rock'n'roll fury.
With her powerful and commanding vocals, coupled with magnetic performance and intense stage presence, singer NELLI SCARLET is unparalleled as a frontwoman and certainly capable of holding her own against her male contemporaries - this mirrored by the cracking drums of LIZZIE DYNON, whose skill and sheer power sees her defying gender conventions and truly measuring up against any other rock drummer when it comes to beating the hell out of a kit. Bass player NICK IVKA thunders along with LIZZIE in arguably one of the greatest rhythm section pairings in young rock today, with the two locked in a performance chemistry that is nothing short of magic. The skill and two-by-four-to-the-face playing of guitarist PETE DAVIES is absolutely the spark to light this highly explosive mix, as the four members, each wildly skilled in their field, continue to rip through venues all over Australia, from dirty rock bars to football stadiums, THE SCARLETS bring a show that is pure, old school showbiz entertainment.

Ba't 'di ko na makita ang buwan
Sakaling mayroon pang dumaan
Bubuhos bang muli ang ulan
At kung kailan
Hindi mo na alam kung saan
Patungo ang kinahinatnan ng iyong damdamin
Pumipila nakakapraning
Nasa utak nila'y ewan ewan
At kung kailan
Hindi mo na alam kung saan
Patungo ang kinahinatnan ng iyong damdamin
Tsaka pa sila dumating
Pumipila nakakapraning
The lyrics of The Scarlets' song "Stampede" reflect feelings of confusion, frustration, and a sense of being overwhelmed by life's uncertainties. The opening lines "Oh ano ba yan, Ba't 'di ko na makita ang buwan" express a sense of bewilderment and not being able to see clearly. The reference to the moon suggests a loss of direction or guidance.
The lyrics continue with a longing for something, perhaps rain, to cleanse the situation and bring some clarity. However, the uncertainty remains, as indicated by the line "Hindi mo na alam kung saan, Patungo ang kinahinatnan ng iyong damdamin" which means "You no longer know where your emotions are headed."
The following lines describe the frustration of waiting for something to happen, feeling anxious while others seem to effortlessly arrive. The repetition of the question "Oh bakit ba kung wala ay wala talaga" highlights the disappointment when there is nothing, followed by the overwhelming feeling of being buried when there is too much to handle.
The chorus repeats the suggestion to escape into the clouds and dream again, emphasizing the desire to find solace and inspiration in one's imagination. The verses continue to express the idea of escaping from the confusing reality and finding refuge in dreams.
Overall, "Stampede" portrays a sense of frustration with life's unpredictability and the desire to find a way to cope, whether through escapism or finding solace within oneself.

Oh ano ba yan
Oh what is this
Ba't 'di ko na makita ang buwan
Why can't I see the moon anymore
Sakaling mayroon pang dumaan
In case there is someone passing by
Bubuhos bang muli ang ulan
Will the rain pour again
At kung kailan
And just when
Hindi mo na alam kung saan
You no longer know where
Patungo ang kinahinatnan ng iyong damdamin
The destiny of your emotions is going
Tsaka pa sila dumating
And then they arrive
Pumipila nakakapraning
Lining up, it's nerve-wracking
Oh why is it that if there's nothing, there really is nothing
And if there's something, it's piled up so much that you can't
Endure, just escape to the cloud and dream again
And if the way is just drinking
Palakihan na lang ng tiyan
Just fill your stomach
Nasa utak nila'y ewan ewan
In their minds, it's uncertain
Oh why is it that if there's nothing, there really is nothing

I think so too, I have listened to this hundreds of times through the years and it still amazes me. Part of it is my ringsignal in my cellphone, and I sometimes here my daughter (23) humming it. It is a truly catchy tune.
