The band formed in Liverpool, England in 2001, taking their name from Magic Band guitarist Bill Harkleroad, better known as Zoot Horn (or "Zuton") Rollo. With all the members being Liverpudlian, this led to comparisions with The Coral, especially as both bands were signed to the same record label - Deltasonic - and had the same producer - Ian Broudie. Their debut album - Who Killed The Zutons? - was released on October 18th 2004, and reached number 9 in the UK album chart.

I can't get this pressure point out of my head
I feel it in work, you know, I feel it in bed
I can't get this pressure point out of my head
I've paid all my bills and I've acted so well
Ain't been cheating, there's nothing to tell
So why all this pressure, I don't understand
I call on my neighbours, and lend them a hand
Doctor, oh doctor, I'm willing to learn
Well all of my bones, well they toss and they turn
Mother, oh mother, I'm begging you please
To rid me of madness and cure this disease
(?) told you what I have become
With all of this pressure, my mind's on a run
(?) changing, let's hope for the best
Maybe it's something to get off my chest
Doctor, oh doctor, I'm begging you please
To rid me of madness and cure this disease
Mother, oh mother, I'm willing to learn
Well all of my bones, well they toss and they turn

The Zutons's song Track seems to be about the pressure that one feels in their life, despite doing everything right. The lyrics talk about the pressure point that the singer cannot get out of their head, which they feel both at work and in bed. They claim to have paid all their bills and not cheated, yet they cannot escape this pressure. The singer is confused and unsure why they are feeling this way, and they turn to their doctor and mother for help. They desire to rid themselves of this pressure and cure their internal disease, which seems to be affecting them physically and mentally.
The repetition of the phrase "pressure point" creates an image of the singer feeling a constant, intense sensation. It highlights how this pressure is not just a one-time occurrence but something that they are unable to escape. The singer's plea to their doctor and mother suggests that they feel helpless and do not know how to deal with this pressure on their own. Besides, the line "With all of this pressure, my mind's on the run" suggests that the pressure is making them feel anxious, nervous, or even panicked.
Overall, the song seems to describe the feeling of being overwhelmed despite seemingly having everything together. The pressure that the singer feels may be internal or external. The song's slow, deliberate pace adds to this feeling, creating a sense of sustained tension and pressure throughout the music.

I first heard this version by The Zutons. In fact, the first track and performance by this band I saw was "You Will, You Won't" on Jools Holland as well, which featured on a DVD called 'Cool Britania'.
Apparently The Zutons didn't get much air play in The States and Latin America.
My brother introduced me to this song. I didn't even know Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse had covered it until I heard it on a college radio station in Mexico City that played mostly alternative and indie stuff (still does).
The year after Amy's passing, I watched a tribute to her on the Grammys, and the unbearable Bruno Mars showed up to perform "Valerie". That's when I notice Americans' blatant ignorance. They didn't even know it was indeed a cover version by Mark Ronson featuring Amy. I mean, it wasn't even part of Amy discography.
As for The Zutons, I don't know if they're still on the road. It seems it was purely a British thing.

This is a great example of how good and how capable this band is. Sterling musicianship top to bottom.

Amazing song and that sax is the cherry on the cake.

This performance is incredible. I almost thought I was looking at a TOTP video, this sounds almost exactly like the studio version!
ccfliege
yes they were really tight. And to add to that is that instrument quality at Jools is always the best of any television show you almost believe its a studio recording
Guitar Adventures (Tony Cooper)
On TOTP, it may well of sounded like the studio version. Because I think you had to mime singing and playing instruments on there, rather than play live The backing track would of been the studio recording. Totally forgot about this great sounding song.
Ben Tapia
@ccfliege agreed. I wish we could get the entire archive of this show on streaming in the US
Ben Tapia
@Guitar Adventures (Tony Cooper) yep. That was exactly my point
