Today they are one of the longest-standing Breton music groups surviving from the folk-rock revival of the 1970s. A popular live band in France, Tri Yann is famous for their outlandish costumes and theatrical presentation on stage. The band members are multi-instrumentalists, and usually the number of instruments on the stage is usually far greater than the number of musicians.

Excellente chanson, composée au 17e siècle et relatant l'emprisonnement de Jean-François Paul de Gondi, Cardinal de Retz, par son ennemi de longue date, Jules Mazarin, sous le règne du grand Louis XIV, le Roi Soleil. Il s'échappât du château de Nantes quelques années plus tard, et rédigea ses mémoires, qui inspireront d'ailleurs le titre "Dans la prison de Londres" de la chanteuse Québécoise Louise Forestier.
