Beautiful, very well done! I like that you pointed out how Vi feels protected by Cait as only her parents and Vander did for her in her life, and she lost em all: alone for 7-9 years lost in the darkness Vi must have felt so alone, forgotten, literally buried alive.
Then Caitlyn came bringing the light for her.
I just love them so much, they stuck in my head forever!

Yes - and even more - Vi sees it. She sees that Cait is an absolutely terrible liar (because she never gets practice) and that she's happier when she's being honest. This tells Vi that Cait can be trusted, unlike everyone else from the upper city. Vi smiling isn't just "great, she's into women, I stand a chance" - it's "she is a good person, I didn't expect that".

Technically, Caitlyn went completely rogue. In episode 4 after the explosion, Jace, after offering her his house security job and Caitlyn refuses, he says that's the best he could do because Cassandra (Caitlyn's mom) got her fired from the enforcers. When Caitlyn goes to the prison, she does so completely on her own and without backup, which is more admirable.

i love the way arcane tells a love story so profound with so much restraint, all the cliches balanced well with intricacy and nuance.honestly ,i dont need them to kiss to show me how madly they love one another, they show us the intimacy by distancing; the touching scene, i can almost feel the warm gasp, in that moment, i realize how silience is the most powerful sound.

They are my favorite couple at this moment, even if they aren't officially a couple yet in the series, they work so well together, and the way they support each other is beautiful, all the visual details are awesome too, the line that Caitlyn cross is the color of Vi's hair, of course the color of blood is red, and also Vi is getting some of Caitlyn's colors too, the gauntlets are blue and gold that are piltover's colors too. I also like a lot that the clothes that Cait wears when she is in the under city is purple, the mix between red and blue, and that when Vi decided to push her away she was wearing her uniform again marking more the differences that Vi sees between them, but my favorite detail is that when Cait was little and was waiting for Jace in the rain her umbrella is the same colors as Vi's jacket and the gold patterns are like the buttons of the jacket, they don't now each other yet but there is the visual hint and in the next scene were Caitlyn is under the rain she is unprotected because Vi decided to leave , sooo good!! I love them and love this show, and your video was awesome too 😊❤

To really get this series fully it takes multiple viewings. Example:

An adolescent Cait is outside in the rain when Jayce comes to her home after being punished by the council. Cait says, 'Father says we can't be friends anymore, you're a misfit'. Jayce asks her why she's out there then. Cait answers with a considered inward look on her face: 'I'm a misfit too, I guess'. Given what we learn later that interaction carries weight it didn't have upon first viewing even if we don't consciously realize it.

Fun little thing a lot of people miss along those lines of not so much foreshadowing but for lack of better phrasing 'pre-shadowing', when Vi is hurt and they're down in the trenches and Cait asks her 'you used to live down here?' there's a drawing in Powder's style on the wall of a slug monster and a crab monster just as Vi later describes them laying with Cait.

This is the greatest romantic relationship I have ever seen portrayed in media. This romance is such a tiny part of the story. Doesn't matter the entire show blew my mind into the dust of obsession.

Literally, I already know that I will be a fan of Arcane for the rest of my life. I usually watch/listen to stuff I like until it bores me. Arcane hits me harder with each rewatch. (I think that is fading, but I have watched the show so many times it's disturbing)

Edit: This is going to sound weird coming from a straight dude. Of all things that mean so much to me, a woman holding my hand hits me deep. (I'm not talking about shaking hands)
Edit again: There are so many reviewers that think Caitlyn wasn't give the screen time required for character developement.............I don't see that opinion at fucking all.

I appreciate the emotional intelligence and maturity you bring to your videos. Thank you for pointing out the importance of learning how to read non-verbal cues for LGBTQ individuals. There is something that I have been thinking about:

It is often seen that Vi is making a choice of Caitlyn over Powder/Jinx. It is not either/or. I see it as reflecting what happens in real life. At some point your siblings may get a partner and have children. Your relationship with them change. The sibling is no longer first. That does not mean that the sibling is unimportant or cut out of your life. Do you think Vi experienced this change in priorities? If so, when do you think it happened?

Thanks a lot for watching and for your comment! I totally agree with you. That is what I have been thinking all along. It's not about a choice, it shouldn't be, it's not either your sibling or your partner, any of them placing you in a situation of having to choose is simply in the wrong. Of course here it is a bit more complicated than that with Powder/Jinx. I don't think Vi is thinking that Caitlyn should be a priority for the sake of her potential position but she is definitely being mature about it and reasonable - to me it seems like she wants to balance both these relations but without going over the top, she doesn't blindly follow Jinx just because she is her sister when she goes wild. I'm not sure if her priorities changed but that is an interesting question, maybe a video type of a question!

@@StopMeOh The day before you posted this video, my sister and I spent 4 hours in a car alone. We live in different parts of the United States, so it was not something that happens often. She has been married for over 30 years. You can imagine all the different things that have come up between siblings in that time!

Looking back at my post, I should have mentioned that I am still processing my way through the bridge scene from episode 8. The part I can’t fully figure out is Vi motivations for her actions. It feels like something changed once Powder/Jinx opened fire on them.

@@drb646 Yes, I agree if there was ever a breaking point it would have been that one, I mean there is as much as you can take - you can support Jinx through whatever happened to her being her sister, you can understand - but when she tries to kill you, or your loved on, how much are you willing to sacrifice? All of it? I still think Vi hasn't given up on Powder but I am really curious to see how she's gonna treat her not only after the bridge scene (Jinx's dinner was extreme circumstances), but after the final scene. How much can you explain Jinx? Most of all she needs help but is Vi's help enough?

They really do compliment each other perfectly in many ways. I think Vi's defenses and possibly whatever happens with Cait's mom will be obstacles to their relationship. They will need one another either way though. I really like how the show uses body language and indirect dialogue to show much of how the feel about one another.

Beautiful breakdown of their relationship! An interesting interpretation of episode 6 title that I wasn’t aware of until you pointed it out. At first I thought it was referring to jinx’s walls but you made a great point that it could also be vi’s.

Their relationship feels just right. Just incredible how layered their relationship is even though there’s only 6-7min screen time of them together. Don’t think there’s any romantic movies that I’ve watched that come close to cait and vi relationship.

Season 2 trailer makes me very nervous about vi/cait and vi/jinx relationships.

Thanks so much! Don't worry. I think it had to happen, it was bound to happen. If Caitlyn's parents die because of Jinx I see no way to forgive her for Caitlyn and I doubt Vi at this point would blindly defend Jinx. I think it will be scary to watch but it should be okay.

@@StopMeOh You can just google: "League of legends lore." And you should found website from Riot games where you can find different regions and gallery of champions that you are intersted in. And on their profiles you can find stories that fetures them. But every character have so many relationships with other champions that it makes you read the whole lore. Riot wrtires are amazing and I belive you are going to have a lot of fun.

So Arcane gives infinitely more depth to character interactions than existed before, but the short story Child of Zaun was Vi's major chapter for a long time. Hopefully a good read. :)

I've been wanting to watch this video since it came out and I never had time to do so. Now I finally have watched it and I find myself with so much to say, so many thoughts and at the same speechless.
I want to thank you for this video that is absolutely, completely and profoundly beautiful. Arcane may not be a show centered on romance, I believe many would categorize it as a tragedy. But that doesn't change the fact that Caitlyn and Vi are the lead/main couple of Arcane (creators have said as much) and they are probably the best written love story ever told. I know there are many love stories out there and they are beautiful indeed. But Caitlyn and Vi are beyond something else. No doubt.
Arcane is a wonderful show, never in my whole life I have seen anything similar, full of detail and deep storytelling. And you have captured the details and depth of Caitlyn and Vi's relationship beautifully in this video. Thank you.
I honestly feel like crying because of how thoughtful your work on this video is. You did your research, you picked every clip, your script is wonderful. And your narration? I'm touched by how soothing your tone is. Like a caress to the cheek.
And speaking of caress to the cheek. I particularly love the part where you dissect the whole scene of Caitlyn holding Vi's face after she is given the medicine. Every little detail, perfect and beautiful.
I could continue writing about how much I love this video, how beautiful Caitlyn and Vi's relationship is, or what a wonderful job you did. But I hope I was clear already and my message reaches you.

Good video overall but I have to say you're wrong here 4:00. At that point she was already out of the inforcers. Jayce tells her after the explosion that her parents managed to get her out of it and that's where she decides to go to Stillwater and continue the investigations anyway. I guess she is still at risk to end up in jail or something if she's discovered but definitely not being fired xddd. Too late for that.
