You always say, you need more time
Well, I'll stay right here
And I'll wait for good until I find a love worth mine
Someday, you've got it coming
It hurts me when I read the signs
So loud and clear, that I'll make you glad
All you good good people listen to me
You're just about done with the way that you feel
'Cause nothing rings home enough to dig your heels in
You don't have to leave me to see what I mean
All you good good people listen to me
And all I wanna do is find my name upon the line
Before I have to lose this I want time
All you good good people listen to me
You're just about done with the way that you feel
'Cause nothing rings home enough to dig your heels in
You don't have to leave me to see what I mean
Lose all your fears, they are keeping you down
You won't have to fake it, while I'm around
All you good good people listen to me
The lyrics to Vinnie Moore's song The Maze talk about feelings of uncertainty in a romantic relationship. The singer expresses their desire for their partner to commit and reciprocate their feelings, but the partner keeps stalling, saying they need more time. The singer is willing to wait and fight for their love, but they feel hurt and anxious when they read the signs that their partner may not feel the same way. The lyrics encourage people to listen up and consider their own emotions and what they really want.
The chorus of the song urges listeners to pay attention and take action. It highlights the importance of being present and honest with oneself, rather than just going through the motions and pretending everything is fine. The final lines of the song seem to offer hope, suggesting that by facing one's fears and being authentic, one can find true love and connection.
Overall, The Maze is a song about the ups and downs of navigating a romantic relationship, and the importance of being true to oneself in order to find love and happiness.

The most underrated. He can't even get the nod of guitar critics and not even once his name is mentioned alongside guitar greats. This masterpiece is a clear testament he is up there with them.
@dylanvalorfall
It's because his songs aren't really as wellc omposed as say, Tony Macalpines stuff. This stuff is technically impressive as fuck, but it's generally lacking that "soul" that both Tony Macalpine has and Joey Taffola.
@jaconova
Carpathian WTF are you talking about: Vinnie´s melodic phrasing has always been a notch ahead of Macalpines and Tafolla´s (who has a pretty bland neoclassical album and somewhat generic funky-fussion compositions).
@antzooma
Tony Macalpine's albums are utterly soulless wtf are you hearing. Do you wonder why Macalpine is just Vai's back up guitarist when he is probably better technically than Vai?
@jamisonwood8001
I'm thinking it's because he jumps from one way of playing to another too quickly, I find it beautifully impressive, but some poeple I guess just want to listen to one thing he has to say instead of a bunch of things thrown at you at once you know? I think psychologically for some people it's too much, weak people in my opinion.
@handler0000
@@jaconova i kind of agree only because he is still a legend for what he has done, and is doing souless your way off but not to there's not a lil something off just not sure its that bud
@darthvader4339
This is how you combine funk, metal, progressive rock, and shred all in one piece.

This track is outstanding, I mean the melodies and structure, not just the musicianship... which is exceptional, of course. The production is quite great as well. I was so happy when Vinnie released this album... a kind of return to the progressive edge, orchestral and classical influences of the first two albums (with a new sound), plus some new elements... I can't believe this was already 20 years ago...
@xounlistedxox
Been playing guitar for nearly 30 years and just heard this for the first time about a week ago. Mind blown, Vinnie is a bad ass!
