El Farolito
Voz Veis Lyrics

Yo pintaba nuevas pecas a tu vientre
Y me juraste regresar algún verano
The lyrics of "El Farolito" by Voz Veis are a nostalgic recollection of a young love affair between the singer and his beloved. The song starts with the memory of a street lamp that used to illuminate their secret meetings. The singer confesses that at the time, he was younger than he pretended to be and that he was overwhelmed by the attention of the girl, who kissed him in front of his cousins. The lyrics express the sweetness of young love and the joy of being able to enjoy one another's presence.
The second verse describes how the couple spent their time together, exchanging embraces and kisses instead of playing soccer with the singer's friends. The singer reminisces about how he felt like a god while with her and how he was infatuated with her. The girl's memories, represented by the stars that "never stop raining," are a reminder of the happiness he once had. The song then takes an emotional turn as the singer reveals that his lover left him and never returned, leaving him with only memories of their time together.
Overall, "El Farolito" is a bittersweet song that captures the innocence and passion of young love and the pain of losing it. The lyrics are poignant and heartfelt, and the music complements them well, creating a nostalgic and melancholic mood.
