Arrivederci Roma
Dean Martin Lyrics

Arriverderci, Roma
Goodbye, goodbye to Rome

City of a million moonlit faces
City of a million warm embraces
Where I found the one of all the faces
Far from home

Arriverderci, Roma
It's time for us to part

Save the wedding bells for my returnin'
Keep my lover's arms outstretched and yearnin'
Please be sure the flame of love keeps burnin'
In her heart

Arriverderci, Roma
It's time for us to part

Save the wedding bells for my returnin'
Keep my lover's arms outstretched and yearnin'
Please be sure the flame of love keeps burnin'
In her heart

For Everyone who Loves a Love Song and Dean

Arriverderci, Roma
Goodbye, goodbye to Rome

City of a million moonlit faces
City of a million warm embraces
Where I found the one of all the faces
Far from home

Arriverderci, Roma
It's time for us to part

Save the wedding bells for my returnin'
Keep my lover's arms outstretched and yearnin'
Please be sure the flame of love keeps burnin'
In her heart

Save the wedding bells for my returnin'
Keep my lover's arms outstretched and yearnin'
Please be sure the flame of love keeps burnin'
In her heart

Augustus Caesar

May that flame of love keep burning in her heart As my love is surely burning eternal.

(She did it, she's the reason)

" God I love a true love song. The facts the words are so real. Ah, not only the love song but having felt and known love to be just as it's expressed in this song. To have and to have known such a feeling. Thankful love songs make me happy.

Arrivederci Roma is definitely my final Love song when I can say nothing more of it.

A lovely ending 848

Save the wedding bells for my returning
Keep my lovers arms out stretched and yearning.

Apart from Dean Martin's beautiful voice, the arrangement is sublime. Today's pop music churned out by self-styled 'singer/songriters' is laughable. I feel sorry for young people who miss out on this gorgeous music.

Dean had a God given natural talent and made it seem as though his singing was as easy as falling off a log. Of course it was anything but that. However his voice did and still does resonate with many people.

Nobody sings this song better than Dean Martin!! That incomparable intonation, the extraordinary quality and care in the delivery, the incredible pronunciation of certain words that nobody else can imitate! Makes for a decidedly memorable experience, that deservedly requires the epitaph, incomparable. The distinguished voice of Dean here though a little slumberous, aging, a touch worn, deep, tired, and ponderous, is still the most memorable with this song. Incredibly polished, well crafted performance.

Alan Wallace

He had the ability to convey feeling and genuine expression, similarly to Elvis.
