The original clip led to the creation of the Harlem Shake meme, which was directly responsible for the debut of Baauer's "Harlem Shake" song atop the Billboard Hot 100. In addition to the DizastaMusic channel (inactive since 2015), he has operated two other channels: TooDamnFilthy (a secondary channel) and TVFilthyFrank (main channel).
His absurdist YouTube channel, now defunct, consisted of music, rants, ukulele performances, and a bizarre show, with all of the main characters played by Miller including the titular character of Filthy Frank. He also produced absurdist comedy music under the moniker Pink Guy, with his discography spanning two full-length albums and an EP. His second album, Pink Season, debuted at number 70 on Billboard 200.
In late 2017, Miller retired from the YouTube channel to focus on his music career under the name Joji, producing more nuanced and serious music, releasing the EP In Tongues, which peaked at number 58 on the Billboard 200, and his debut studio album BALLADS 1, which reached number 1 on Billboard's top R&B and hip-hop chart in November 2018. With this, Miller became the first Asian artist to do so. Miller's music has been described as a mix between R&B and trip-hop. As of 2022, Joji has released two more studio albums: Nectar on September 25, 2020, and SMITHEREENS on November 4, 2022.

TEST DRIVE
Joji Lyrics
She don't wanna tell lies (she don't wanna tell lies)
She don't wanna tell lies (she don't wanna tell lies)
She just wanna feel alive (she just wanna feel alive)
She just wanted more time (she just wanted more time)
I'm looking for a long ride (looking for a long ride)
She just want a test drive (she just want a test drive)
Now you on the west side (now you on the west side)
I'll see you in the next life (see you in the next life)
What do you want, babe? (What do you want, babe?)
I don't like when you taunt me (I don't like when you taunt me)
You've been calling the wrong line (you've been calling the wrong line)
I say who do you want, babe? (Who do you want, babe?)
I'm working on my name (working on my name)
I'm hoping you do the same (do the same)
You got me afraid again (got me afraid again)
So let me just pray again (so let me just pray again)
You're gonna jump through hoops
Know how many lines you drew
No matter when you lose
Everything I've done for you
She don't wanna tell lies
She don't wanna tell lies
She just wanna feel alive
She just wanted more time
I'm looking for a long ride
She just want a test drive (what do you want, babe?)
Now you on the west side (what do you want, babe?)
I'll see you in the next life (who do you want, babe?)
Waiting on a sacrificial life
Waiting on the ones who didn't fight
I told you not to waste my fucking time
I told you never sing that song you like
You're gonna jump through hoops
Know how many lines you drew
No matter when you lose
Everything I've done for you
She don't wanna tell lies (she don't wanna tell lies)
She don't wanna tell lies (she don't wanna tell lies)
She just wanna feel alive (she just wanna feel alive)
She just wanted more time (she just wanted more time)
I'm looking for a long ride (looking for a long ride)
She just want a test drive (she just want a test drive)
Now you on the west side (now you on the west side)
I'll see you in the next life (see you in the next life)

This song and Slow Dancing in the Dark helped me fight creeping depression, with depression, when I entered a long-distance relationship in November of 2018. I lived alone in my basement apartment at Bensonhurt Brooklyn with no family near by (closest family was 2k miles away in Texas), and the only friends that I had were all from work only (never hang out with them cuz of overnight shift life, and 2-hour travel time from work to home and vice versa).
I remember listening to both songs as I walked to the subway station, waiting for the D-train to come.
I would watch the sun setting on the west-side while listening to Test Drive, thinking of my then girlfriend who was living in South Korea. I would listen to Slow Dancing in the Dark as I sat in the D-train alone at night while watching the NYC lights as the train was heading into Manhattan for my overnight job.
I moved to Flushing Queens for a small, cheaper apartment room and being closer to work after transferring to much closer work location (2-hour travel to work turned into 10-15 minutes by bus).
Those were some tough 7 months, and they only got tougher once I began working 2 jobs, a total of at least 16-18 hours per day 5 days out of the week (off-days I would sleep all day, especially when they overlapped).
It's been 4 years since those days, and my then long-distance girlfriend is now my wife and we're living together. But dang, those were some tough times I put myself through.
Joji's music helped me get through it all. His music has a special place in my heart and memories.

@Robin Well, I don't remember what I said in this thread tbh. I've grown to love his voice though, after spending some time in college in maturing a little. He has a lovely voice nowadays. Back then he was a bit unpolished though, and I think I was just trying to make a point about why it's not that insane to make a career transition from being say a video content creator to a musician when you already had quite a bit of fame and a very loyal fan base. He already had the talent and already made music as pink guy, and he wouldn't be the first influencer to begin making music.
But now a days I like listening to some Joji. Personally I enjoy rock music, some alternative and grunge, house music/chill dance or deep house, dubstep, rap/hiphop, jazz, rnb, some spanish music. I like a lot of music. I am not that picky anymore when it comes to it if I'm honest with you. I've even grown to appreciate rappers like Kodack Black. Lots to love about music
