Extraordinary musicians from diverse cultural backgrounds have since come together within the vessel of Stellamara, creating music with a common intention: to celebrate love, beauty and unity through transcendent harmony, perfect dissonance and passionate rhythms.
Rooted in Turkish, Arabic, Balkan, European medieval and Persian musical traditions, Stellamara carries a deep devotion to the music of these cultures with a unique timeless expression.
At Stellamara’s core are Sonja Drakulich and multi-instrumentalist Gari Hegedus. Together with co-writer and cellist Rufus Cappodocia, they weave together a bridge of unity as they collaborate with an array of inspired musicians. Their music unveils the deep relationship between seemingly disparate cultures while surpassing any confines of tradition.
Through the use of makam - traditional Middle Eastern modal scales and melodic structure - Stellamara’s strong connection to cultural origin is clear, yet they gracefully blend musical forms with both a passionate, highly personal aesthetic and subtle, otherworldly ambiance.
With three critically acclaimed albums, several compilations and independent film scores, Stellamara is now at the forefront in creating highly innovative performances and recordings. They are internationally regarded as a new model in contemporary world music and have developed as an everexpanding vehicle, revealing sublime new levels of mystery, beauty and depth.
Stellamara is currently performing as an electro-acoustic trio, featuring vocalist and producer Sonja Drakulich, multi instrumentalist and producer Miles Jay and multi instrumentalist Evan Fraser. Stellamara also continues to perform as a full acoustic based ensemble, featuring multi-instrumentalist Gari Hegedus, and including guest musicians: percussionists Evan Fraser, Sean Tergis, and Faisal Zedan, violinist Briana Di Mara, and accordionist Dan Cantrell and cellist Rufus Cappadocia.

Kyrie, eleison!
Kyrie, Kyrie, eleison*
You'll be by my side wherever I go
Kyrie, Kyrie, eleison
I already feel you, my soul Clouds passing by
Stories of
The blue sky and the immensity
Within mu soul
The music in the blue rivers
And the wind whistling upon
I believe You are in everything Kyrie, Kyrie, eleison
You'll be by my side wherever I go
Kyrie, Kyrie, eleison
I already feel you, my soul The Sea of Truth
The Light in the Darkness
And the experience of eternity
Within my soul
The music in the blue rivers
And the wind whistling upon
I believe You are in everything Kyrie, Kyrie, eleison
You'll be by my side wherever I go
Kyrie, Kyrie, eleison
I already feel you, my soul You listen to our prayers
And help wherever You can
Whether You are far away
We can find Your presence inside
Whether it doesn't seem clear
We are looking for You
You're hard to find
Only You know why
Only You know why Kyrie, Kyrie, eleison
You'll be by my side wherever I go
Kyrie, Kyrie, eleison
I already feel you, my soul Kyrie, Kyrie, eleison
I already feel you, my soul
Its Victoria 2 You
I just simply love the harmonizing. this song is the most relaxing and peaceful songs i have ever heard and when I come home from a stressful day at work, i play this song while I'm having a bubble bath and it takes all my stress away. the vocals are just breathtaking.

Kyrie Eleison are Greek words!
Its Κυριε Ελέησον in Greek and it means Sir/Lord/God Bless/Show mercy
If you add Κυριε Ελεησον Με it means Lord Bless/Show Me Mercy!
akisboulis
its an Orthodox song with greek lyrics. Very nice music and the voice is amazing!

akisboulis quite right. I recently attended a Greek Orthodox liturgy in Chaniotis, as there were no Catholic Churches nearby. These were the only words I understood, as they are also in the Latin mass! Lol. God bless.x Loved the place..paradise, and the boat trip to Mt Athos, too. Heaven on Earth. stellamara are Bulgarian, I think. Makes sense.

Constantin Apopei actually this form and many others found on youtube are in Latin. In Latin Christendom “Lord have mercy” is still recited in Greek as evidenced by the Traditional Latin Mass.
Վիգէն Ապասեան
Constantin Apopei Kyrie means Lord, Eleison means have mercy.
Anna Sklavos
@Constantin Apopei Actually directly translated Kyrie Eleison means lord have mercy.
