@pancakewizard Holywood was a strange followup and one I don't think he would have made if he didn't have to. I think Columbine made him go that direction. Honestly, based on things i have seen and read from MA era, he was happy with this direction and his work was probably going to be a lot of this. Which would have been great. As this is great music. Holywood actually has aged better in a way though. This is very much of its time. Lots of bands caught up in the turn of the century glossy pop shine, even Manson. Holywood sticks out as a good rock record from the early 2000s. It is also of its time but the songs are harder to put a date on, if that makes sense. You know they were inspired very much by his anger at the events of Columbine and the finger being pointed at him. He's a great artist. His pain is evident in his art
