Sand Clit
Kasabian Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Here's a song about jacking off
I jack off with my left hand
Together on the sand
We walked hand in hand
On the beach front, she smiled at me
As she tightly held my hand
I had my thumb up in her stubble
Country music
Played on the radio
So I turned it off
We walked down to the water
As I fucked your grandma's daughter
The wave it swept us away
What a hoe? What a hoe?
What a hoe?

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Kasabian's song "Sand Clit" are intentionally vulgar and nonsensical. Many speculate that the lyrics are meant to be a commentary on the state of contemporary music, in which not all songs have deep, meaningful lyrics. The opening line of "Here's a song about jacking off" sets the tone for the rest of the song – crude and unrefined. The singer of the song reminisces about a romantic moment with a woman on the beach, but then quickly veers off into an inappropriate description of sexual acts. The inclusion of the line "What a hoe?" at the end of the song is perplexing, and indicates that the song is meant to be somewhat ironic or satirical.

Despite its seemingly controversial subject matter, "Sand Clit" remains one of Kasabian's most popular songs. The band has a reputation for blending different genres to create a unique sound, and "Sand Clit" is no exception. The song incorporates elements of country music and rock into its fast-paced tempo. The title of the song is also a pun, playing off the word "sandwich," which adds to the tongue-in-cheek nature of the lyrics.

0:13 Damn, they really foreshadowed SCRIPTVRE 18 years earlier

@MrZeppelinOwl

Listened to this for the title!

@veronicagonzalo3778

Fuck hell!! 2:05 They also play reggaeton rhythm 14 years before it starts being on every song!??! Amazing, even not liking reggaeton.

The title is fucking ridiculous (but are Club Foot and Ovary Stripe) but I didn't come for it (no clitoris pun intended). I came because I get trippy, nostalgic vibes from this song. On my version of the Kasabian album, I get this song, then the Jacknife Lee Reason Is Treason in the same track, but with a gap of several minutes inbetween. A little bit irritating actually. Oh well, Kasabian are my life.
