Wojna
Coma Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Z domu poprzez drzwi.
W całym bloku pachnie kawą.
Pierwszy spóźnię się do pracy,
Pierwszy kurwa raz.
Nie zamierzam się tłumaczyć.
Pierwszy promień słońca,
Od tygodnia padał deszcz.
Może jutro będzie cieplej.
Metro zatłoczone ludźmi,
Ósma zero pięć...
Wysadziłem się w powietrze.
The lyrics to Coma's song "Wojna" (which translates to "War") tell a story of a person who takes a leap and crosses over to the other side, leaving their home through the door. The aroma of coffee fills the entire apartment complex, and the person is the first to be late for work, for the first fucking time. The person insists that they have no intention of explaining themselves, implying that there is something changing within them, a sense of independence and rebellion perhaps. The lyrics speak of the first ray of sunshine after a week of rain and how the person hopes that it will be warmer tomorrow. Finally, the person travels on a crowded subway at 8:05, and then, explosively ends their journey by saying that they exploded into the air.
The song is a poetic expression of a person's struggle to break free from the boring routine of life and seek out adventure, ultimately leading to self-destruction. Here, the glimpses of changing scenery in the form of the smell of coffee and the first rays of sunshine, and the overcrowded metro are juxtaposed against the ultimate explosion of the person, lending the song a sense of urgency and rebellion.
