This lineup remained intact until 2003, when keyboardist Shirai Mikio left the band. The following year ↑THE HIGH-LOWS↓ cut their ties to Universal Music, and Koumoto and Mashima formed HAPPYSONG RECORDS, their very own record label with ties to BMG Japan, which has since distributed their releases. After announcing their disbandment in late 2005, Koumoto and Mashima decided to form another punk rock band together, and ended up naming it ザ・クロマニヨンズ (The Cro-Magnons).

タイトルだけ見るともっと刺々しいのかと思って聴いてみるといちいち歌詞が可愛いというか優しいというか、大好きになっちゃうんだよね。
ブルーハーツよりもハイロウズが世代としてぶつかったので、ハイロウズに出会ってロックのイメージが変わっちゃったんだ。
カッコいいし、かわいいし、優しいし、音がオシャレだし、心を全部持っていかれたんだ。
この曲もそうだし「迷路」はさらに好きなんだ。

「これを聞くのか？ちょっと早くね？」と笑いながらかけると、期待したノリが違ったのだろう。速攻でどこかに行った。
だが、暫く「ツーレツレ」と呟いていたのを思い出す。
