The lyrics of 松任谷由実's song 空と海の輝きに向けて or "Towards the Radiance of the Sky and Sea" speak of new beginnings and embarking on a journey, symbolized by sailing on the vast blue ocean of life. The moon's light is still visible in the sky, and a gentle sea breeze is a sign of a new start. The song talks about the singer's decision to raise the sails alone, despite the vastness and possible difficulties in their chosen path. The "golden light" somewhere beyond the distant waves represents a beacon of hope and a goal to strive towards.
The song also speaks about how the singer seeks solace and peace of mind on their endless journey. However, despite the peaceful intentions, they also feel a certain anger burning in their heart. In the end, the singer becomes part of the "world of calls," where the sky and sea meet and merge, and they transform into a song flowing in the waves.
