Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to 水木一郎's song サバンナを越えて ("Beyond the Savannah") encourage a sense of adventure and self-discovery. The singer urges the listener to run even further beyond the wind, as the horizon is calling out to them. It speaks of being born on an endless land and how living is truly an adventure from the day of birth. This adventurous spirit is symbolized by the singer, Leo, who embarks on a journey to cross the Savannah.

The imagery of the lyrics paints a picture of a vast expanse with swirling sandstorms in the sky, representing the obstacles and challenges that one must overcome in pursuit of their dreams. The dreams themselves are depicted as a constant test for the individual, pushing them to seek strength in the face of adversity. It is a call to persist and strive for a better tomorrow, always reaching for new heights and never looking back.

Leo is presented as a young boy who aspires to become a hero, with the belief that each battle he faces will make him stronger. The song emphasizes the idea of not shying away from struggles but rather embracing them in order to grow and evolve. By fueling his soul with passion and determination, Leo is encouraged to keep pushing forward towards his goals, no matter how distant they may seem.

Ultimately, the lyrics convey a message of self-discovery and perseverance. Leo's journey across the Savannah is not just a physical one but also a metaphorical one, representing the internal quest to find oneself. The song encourages listeners to keep moving forward until the day they finally encounter their true selves, embodying the themes of courage, determination, and the relentless pursuit of one's dreams.

@C. M. "4.there are lion story in africa that nothing like kimba but I still believe lying king have rights to rip off because lion africa is all the same tropes

Again, barely comprehensible as a sentence, so I can't really address that."

here is movies/ cartoon that take place in africa but still no need to rip off kimba
1.Simba: The King of the Beasts is a 1928 American black-and-white silent documentary film, directed by Martin and Osa Johnson, which features the couple's four-year expedition to track the lion across Kenyan veld to his lair. The film, sound like kimba ? No ?
2.Simba: The King of the Beasts 1940 comics. all animals can't talk and the story still huge different from kimba
3.The Ghost and the Darkness 1996 movie - nothing like kimba
4.The Lion Guard TV series made by Disney . still nothing like kimba

now look back to you moron and YMS argument again "Kimba did it all . it's just common tropes" - westerner "wisdom" level nowaday

Kimba the White Lion as a series may have had its reputation tarnished by being caught up in The Lion King controversy but this theme song is pretty damn cool.

Doesn’t matter if we’re here from YMS or a Kimba fan, this is dope
