With Teleradio Donoso's breakup, Alex started to record tracks with a clear different style, without guitars and with a strong use of synthetizers. The project called «Odisea» finally releases its record in August 2010, with «Cabros» being its first promotional single.
In September 2011, Alex Anwandter releases a new single called «Tatuaje», this time abandoning his «Odisea» pseudonym and using his real name. On October 26th, 2011, Anwandter releases «Rebeldes», his second solo album and first one released with his real name.

De niños blancos y ojos azulinos
Esa voz que se les quebró
Y sus labios seduciendo matutinos
Y yo, negro de amor
Ni niño, ni ruiseñor
Antes de los españoles
Nadie te amenazaba con sus juicios
Este tiempo no es virtuoso
No debemos confundirnos con sus vicios
Soy yo, negro de amor
Ni niño, ni ruiseñor
Perfecto entero
Para mí eres como una flor
Tristeza linda, mi vida contigo es amor
Yo soy americano
Perfecto entero
Para mí eres como una flor
El hombre blanco es un diablo
Y tú eres amor
Yo soy americano
Va a ser un buen año
Te lo prometo
The lyrics of Alex Anwandter's "Latinoamericana" address themes of identity, heritage, and resistance within the context of Latin America. The first verse critiques the pervasive Eurocentric beauty standards portrayed in media, highlighting the contrast between the idealized image of white children with blue eyes and the singer's own identity as a black person. The reference to seductive lips and broken voices suggests a sense of otherness and marginalization experienced by non-white individuals in a society that values Eurocentric features.
The lyrics then delve into a historical perspective, with mentions of the time before the arrival of the Spanish colonizers. The singer challenges the notion of Western superiority and calls for a rejection of the colonial legacy that continues to shape Latin American societies. The line "Soy yo, negro de amor, ni niño, ni ruiseñor" conveys a complex sense of self-awareness and defiance, refusing to be reduced to simplistic stereotypes or romanticized ideals imposed by the dominant culture.
The chorus shifts the focus to a personal declaration of love and affirmation. The singer expresses admiration for their partner, describing them as perfect and comparing them to a flower. This intimate moment of tenderness and affection serves as a contrast to the confrontational tone of the previous verses, highlighting the beauty and resilience found in Latin American relationships and identities.
The final verse confronts the legacy of colonialism and patriarchal norms that continue to oppress and marginalize indigenous and non-white communities. The rejection of the "eternal line of dead white men" who seek to impose their values and authority serves as a powerful statement of resistance and empowerment. The singer reaffirms their identity as an Americano, promising a brighter future and emphasizing the strength of love and unity in the face of historical injustices. The contrast between the devil-like figure of the white man and the transformative power of love encapsulates the song's message of reclaiming agency and reshaping narratives of Latin American identity.
