Carrasco moved to Spain from her native country. In Spain, she enjoyed wild success. She had her first big hit when she was chosen to play Mary Magdalen together with Camilo Sesto in the first Spanish version of Jesus Christ Superstar in the mid-1970s. She also hit the airwaves strongly in the late 1970s, with songs such as "Cariño Mio" ("Love of Mine") and "Quererte a Ti" ("Loving You"). "Quererte a Ti" in particular gave her much exposure all over Latin America, in the United States and Europe. She later had a great comeback with albums such as Dama del Caribe and Candela, as well as Angela.
Angela continues to make music, and after her recent A Puro Dolor, she released a new album, Muy Personal, which includes some new songs in new styles as well as remakes of some of her most famous songs such as "No, no hay nadie mas" and "No se como amarle" from Jesus Christ Superstar. Her voice continues to be strong and her music fresh and unique. She has also taken several steps into theatre.

se esta enredando conmigo,
te ha robado de mi lado
ha hecho de ti mi enemigo.
Como muere en una noche
el amor de cien mil días,
¿cómo puedes de repente
No como, no duermo,
me quiero morir,
no puedo llorar
de puro sufrir,
Ahí te va mi última canción
tómala y cántala por mi,
Ahí te va mi última canción
tómala y se feliz por mi.
El mañana en nuestra casa
no habrá más voz que la mía,
el reflejo en el espejo
será una cara vacia.
Como pasa en un segundo
lo que nunca tuvo prisa.
Ya no puedo de repente
cambiar por nada tu risa.
No como, no duermo,
me quiero morir,
no puedo llorar
de puro sufrir,
Ahí te va mi última canción
rómpela y se feliz sin mi.
Ahí te va mi última canción rómpela
y olvídate de mi.
The song "Mi Ultima Cancion" by Angela Carrasco expresses the pain and heartbreak of a failed relationship. The lyrics tell the story of the singer's lover leaving her, becoming her enemy after causing her to suffer. The singer cannot hide her pain and is in a state of shock as her love dies in just one night, leaving her wondering how her lover could have changed so suddenly. The singer is unable to eat or sleep, and her only wish is to die.
The second verse describes the aftermath of the failed relationship. The singer mourns the loss of her lover and realizes that she will be alone in their house. The singer further laments that even though their love was once carefree, it ended in a moment, making her susceptible to further agony. The singer's pain has reached an extreme level that she cannot cry anymore, only suffer. In the end, the singer gives her "last song" to her lover so they can forget her and be happy without her.
Overall, "Mi Ultima Cancion" is a melancholy love song that reflects the pain that follows a failed relationship. The lyrics convey the deep emotions of the singer and the toll that heartbreak takes on her.
