The lyrics of Pingüinos en la Cama by Arjona is about a couple who is trying to clear up their issues before it's too late. In the first verse, the singer tells his partner that they need to discuss their problems and make amends. He says that they don't have all day to keep arguing and that if their relationship were an Olympic event, she would break all records for ruining their moments together. The second verse continues with the singer saying that he is not her property and that he is tired of being controlled by her. He tells her to stop acting like a police officer and to understand that love without freedom won't last. He then says that both of them have flaws that they didn't have at the beginning of their relationship, and they need to accept them. The chorus suggests that there are "pingüinos en la cama" or "penguins in the bed" caused by the coldness and emotional distance between them.
The third verse is about him trying to move on from the relationship because he is tired of always hearing the same excuses and leaving her. He says he has packed his bags and is ready to go.
