The lyrics of Asha Bhosle's song "Kisi Ke Vade Pe Kyon Eitbar" delve deep into the complexities of trust and promises in relationships. The repeated questioning of why one placed trust in someone's promises highlights a sense of betrayal or disappointment that the singer is grappling with. The skepticism towards believing in someone's words reflects a loss of faith in the reliability of commitments made by others.
The lines "Na aane walo ka kyun intezar humne kiya" suggest a sense of longing or waiting for those who may never come, leading to feelings of emptiness and unfulfilled expectations. The repetition of questioning one's own actions in placing trust in someone's promises emphasizes a sense of self-doubt and regret for investing emotions in something that may not come to fruition.
The lyrics further explore the dynamics of love and relationships, with lines like "Mohabbato ka ajab karobar humne kiya" painting a picture of the strange and sometimes inexplicable nature of love. The juxtaposition of feeling both connected and estranged from the other person highlights the complexities and contradictions that can exist within romantic bonds.
The final verses depict a sense of resignation and acceptance of reality, as the singer reflects on mistakes made and decisions taken in the name of love. The mention of turning towards alcohol as a form of solace or escape signifies a coping mechanism for dealing with heartbreak or disillusionment. Ultimately, the song encapsulates the bittersweet journey of trust, love, and loss in relationships, resonating with listeners who have experienced the ebbs and flows of emotions in matters of the heart.
