1. Formed by Nagy Feró and Németh Alajos in 1982, Budapest, Hungary, Bikini is one of the most successful Hungarian rock band of the eighties. Nagy Feró's (also known as "the cockroach of the nation", as he called himself) former punk band, the legendary Beatrice split up in 1982, after having serious problems with communist authorities, when they formed this band.
The band music and lyrics was, like much of the communist era, filled with hidden meanings against the oppression. With Nagy Feró in the front of the Bikini they produced two studio albums, which were very progressive, post modern punk rock albums. Their debut was "Hová lett?" (1983), followed by the "XX. századi híradó" (1984) one year later. However as the eroding of Hungarian communist regime became more obvious and faster, Feró left the Bikini for reuniting the Beatrice.
In 1985 D. Nagy Lajos arrived to the band as a lead singer, when they progressed to a more accessible and melodic rock sound, and produced legendary and very successful hit songs like "Közeli helyeken" or "Ki visz haza?", which are still very popular and often played in Hungary. The band split up in 1992 but reunited in 1997.
Members are: D. Nagy Lajos, Németh Alajos, Lukács Peta, Mihalik Viktor, Makovics Dénes, Bördén Szabolcs.
Some former members are:
Nagy Feró (vocals 1982-85), Vedres Joe (guitar 1982-91, 1997-1998), Németh Gábor (drums, 1982-1985), Berecz Endre (drums, 1989-1991), Hirleman Bertalan (drums, 1985-1989, 1997-1998), Gallai Péter (keyboards 1985-2003), Daczi Zsolt (guitar 1991-2004), Csillag Endre (guitars 2004-2006), Kató Zoltán (saxophone, 1989-1998).

2. Bikini (electro-pop dance music duo) is Nigel Diamond and Olivier Olivier. Their music is like Salinger on MDMA. Diamond is originally from Miami and Olivier was classically trained at the Royal Conservatory.
Olivier Olivier is the son of the late Indian poet Fateh Bains and moved to Canada where he attended Glen-Lyon Norfolk School, a school chosen for its musical program affiliated with the Royal Conservatory of Music. It was here Olivier met Nigel Diamond, who was sent down after he was expelled from his previous school.
It wasn’t until after Glen-Lyon Norfolk that the two began to make music together. Olivier composes all the melodies in the fall of each year, drawing his inspiration from the poetry he writes during the summer. He records vocals, exports all his drafts without titles or form to Diamond. Diamond spends the following spring arranging Olivier's melodies, rhythm sequences and vocal treatments, adding his own lines. The result is a finished record. Nothing is sent back to Olivier. The songs are then sent from Diamond to be mastered and released.

Egy hang azt mondta, már nem tudom,
Hol a vágy, ami rég volt,
Hol a láz nem éget már.
2. Álmomban azt kérdezte újra ő,
Miért ment el régen az a szerető,
Aki várt, aki hívott,
R. Szállj a fény felé, hív a messzeség,
Ott vagyok, találj rám!
Tarts erősen, hogy el ne vesszen,
Mert könnyen lobban a láng.
3. Álmomban újra érzem: melegít,
Hívnám, hogy jöjjön, de a vágy nem segít.
Hova szállt, hova hívott az a szó?
Nem értem már.
4. Merre tart az út, merre ég a láng?
Nem tudom, mi vár rám.
Hangja megfakult, arca köddé vált
Fájó emlék csupán.
5. Nem járok háborús úton,
Nem látom merre a fény.
Álmomban hallom a hangját,
Álmomban így zenél:
R., R.
These lyrics capture the feelings of longing, loss, and confusion that can arise from a past love. The first verse begins by describing a dream where the phone rings and a voice tells the singer that they no longer know where the desire they once had is, and the fire that used to burn within them has extinguished. This suggests that the singer feels disconnected from their former passion and is questioning where it has gone.
In the second verse, the dream continues and the voice asks why their past lover left. The singer mentions how this person used to wait, call, and urge them to move forward, but now they seem distant. The repetition of the questions reflects the confusion and longing the singer feels towards this lost love.
The chorus, which is repeated twice, provides some guidance in the dream. It urges the singer to fly towards the light because the distance calls for their presence. The plea to hold on tightly suggests the fragility of love and the fear of losing it. The line, "Because the flame can easily ignite," implies that the passion within a relationship can be easily rekindled, reinforcing the idea that the singer still desires to reconnect.
The third verse reveals that in the dream, the singer can still feel the warmth from their past lover, but despite wanting to call them back, the longing itself is not enough. The question of where their love has gone hangs in the air, unanswered and perplexing to the singer.
The final verse reflects a sense of uncertainty and fading hope. The singer wonders where the path leads and where the flame burns. The fading voice and the foggy face of their past lover turn into a painful memory. It's a reminder that their relationship has changed, but the emotions and memories remain.
The repetition of the chorus at the end brings back the plea to fly towards the light and find each other again. This repeating refrain emphasizes the strong desire to reconnect and suggests that even in the singer's dreams, they are still searching for their lost love.
