Braulio Lyrics

Mis temores, mi alegría
Y aunque sean tonterías
Escríbeme, escríbeme
Tu silencio me acongoja
Me preocupa y predispone
Y aunque sea con borrones
Me hacen más falta tus cartas
Que la misma vida mía
Lo mejor morir sería
Si algún día me faltaras
Cuando llegan a mis manos
Su lectura me conmueve
Y aunque sean malas nuevas
Escríbeme, escríbeme
Me hacen más falta tus cartas
Que la misma vida mía
Lo mejor morir sería
Si algún día me faltarán
Cuando llegan a mis manos
Su lectura me conmueve
Y aunque sean malas nuevas
Escríbeme, escríbeme
The lyrics to Braulio's song "Escribeme" focus on the importance of receiving letters from a loved one. The writer describes how these letters bring hope, fear, and joy into their life, and how even silly or seemingly inconsequential thoughts are worth writing down. The writer also expresses a great deal of concern when they do not receive letters, feeling anxious and worried about their loved one's safety and wellbeing. Ultimately, the song emphasizes the deep emotional connection that comes from writing and receiving letters, and how much they mean to the writer.
One interpretation of the song is that it speaks to the power of written communication in maintaining relationships, particularly in a time before the widespread availability of digital communication. The writer's longing for letters, and their willingness to accept even bad news, suggests that the act of writing and receiving letters is more important than the specific content of the letters themselves. The song also touches on themes of loneliness, separation, and the desire for human connection, as the writer's only way of staying connected to their loved one is through these letters.
Overall, "Escribeme" is a heartfelt tribute to the power of the written word and the role that letters can play in sustaining emotional connections between individuals who are physically separated.
