Within
Daft Punk Lyrics

There are so many things that I don't understand
There's a world within in me that I cannot explain
Many rooms to explore but the doors look the same
I am lost I can't even remember my name

I've been for sometime, looking for someone
I need to know now, please tell me who I am
I've been for sometime, looking for someone
I need to know now, please tell me who I am
There are so many things that I don't understand
There's a world within me that I cannot explain

Many rooms to explore but the doors look the same
(Where are the locks to the key)

I am lost I can't even remember my name
(And I wondered why)

I've been for sometime, looking for someone
I need to know now, please tell me who I am
I've been for sometime, looking for someone
I need to know now, please tell me who I am

I've been for sometime, looking for someone
I need to know now, please tell me who I am
I've been for sometime, looking for someone
I need to know now, please tell me who I am

There are so many things that I don't understand
There's a world within me that I cannot explain
Many rooms to explore, but the doors look the same
(where are the locks to try the key?)
I am lost, I can't even remember my name
(and I wonder why)

I've been, for sometime, looking for someone
I need to know now
Please tell me who I am

This songs made me, among many other people, realize that we truly don't know who we are and we want.
Today's life is lead on autopilot.
Most of the time, the decisions we make are influenced by other people's opinion, not ours.
Most of the time we care about other people's opinions, not ours.

We're all just lost.
We think we know what we want, but most of us don't actually.

We live in a world where all of a sudden we are presented by so many choices for careers and futute that we get overwhelmed and lost.
The pressure put on all people is high because the demands for a 'functional' world as it is today are high.
We are distracted with the flash and glamour.

Instead of focusing on me, me, me so much, let's invest time and energy in other people.

Not for the benefit of us and for having an upper hand on them later on.
But for the benefit of mankind.
One good deed per day can change so much.
Both for you and the other person.

Let's do good.
Take it one day at a time.

They say when a tear from your right eye falls first it's happiness, from your left first it's sadness.

This was the ringtone I had set for my ex; in a way she helped me find out about myself, to become "harder, better, stronger" though break down in the process but I just like a robot I had to rebuild. (tbh things could've ended on a better note and handled better; someone who can help build you up can equally help break you; we both were capable)

When I decided to listen to this song again; instant... right eye tear. Happy? Was I happy because I realized that I finally was able to understand myself better, happy because I can listen to Daft Punk whenever and remember all the good times since i was younger and can reminisce about them?

To be honest, I had a really strong wall built around me, I always hid my feelings. Eventually convincing myself I had none just like a robot; guess we're all "human after all"

I want to thank these amazing gentlemen for entertaining and creating emotional evoking beautiful music for decades and for future generations; hopefully maybe their children if they have any can continue their legacy and our offspring can enjoy their music as well.

-See you Space Cowboy

while most people were using autotuner to sound robotic at the time, daft punk became robots that sounded human....that's why they are great.
