La Aplanadora del Rock is known for mixing rock with Argentine folk music, and hard-to-get lyrics. The most successful point on the band's career came with the 1993 record La era de la boludez.
Other than founding members Mollo and Arnedo, different drummers have completed the normal trio: 1988 to 1990, Gustavo Collado; 1990 to 1995, Federico Gil Solá; 1995 to 2004, Jorge Araujo; and since 2004, Catriel Ciavarella.
The name of the band is taken from Sumo's favourite band and influences (the late Ian Curtis was a good friend of Luca Prodan) - Joy Division.
The band has recorded a number of covers, such as Voodoo Child by Jimi Hendrix and Light My Fire by The Doors. Covers not committed to CD include I Want You (She's So Heavy) and Day Tripper by The Beatles. In their shows, Divididos has played songs such as "Rock and Roll" and "Moby Dick" (Led Zeppelin), and "Little Wing" (Jimi Hendrix). The band also covers some Sumo songs, usually in medley format.

Caí redondo en un mundo punteagudo
Moneditas y pecado digital
Realidad acelerada a noticieros
En la fiesta del amor
Bailate este tanzazo en inglés.
La Argentina y su tatuaje del error
Mentí, mentí, mentí que es verdad
Hoy me duele la cultura
Si no sueño quedo sin estribillo
En esta canción de amor.
The lyrics of "Libre El Jabalí" by Divididos portray a sense of frustration and disillusionment with society and its cultural norms. The first verse describes a feeling of being out of place, like crashing into a sharp world with the wrong attire. The mention of "moneditas y pecado digital" refers to the manipulative and shallow nature of modern society, where money and digital sins prevail. The line about the cold sun that cooks the singer suggests a sense of discomfort or unease in the current social climate.
The chorus expresses the pain caused by the current state of culture, where dreams are only possible if accompanied by a catchy refrain. This highlights the pressure to conform to commercialized standards and the lack of authenticity in contemporary music. The line "En esta canción de amor" emphasizes the irony that even in a love song, there is a sense of disillusionment and dissatisfaction.
The second verse criticizes the political landscape, referring to an individual who seeks power and popularity by appealing to the masses but lacks substance. The jabalí (wild boar) symbolizes this cunning and deceptive character, who disguises their true intentions with a Franciscan discourse. The mention of an accelerated reality depicted in news broadcasts highlights the fast-paced and sensationalized nature of media consumption. The reference to the "fiesta del amor" and the suggestion to dance to an English song sarcastically alludes to the superficiality and superficial trends that dominate society.
