An 8-piece Czech band from Úvaly near Prague, formed in 1996. DB is both hated and loved by many because of its simple but sometimes quite catchy lyrics and music where we can hear many instruments, but is not too complex in the first place.
It is hard to define what genre Divokej Bill is. Sometimes its music is defined as folk rock, celtic rock, country and so on; members think it might be "redneck rock" as they are from a small town and are influenced by it.
DB has attended a lot of festivals in last few years like its home Ouvalskej bigbít, Rock for People or Masters of Rock. DB also does a lot of its own gigs nationwide.
Divokej Bill is closely related to Medvěd 009 because they are both from Úvaly, and Vašek Bláha is a singer and guitarist in both bands.

The lyrics to Divokej Bill's "Stroj" are seemingly nonsensical at first glance, but upon closer examination, they reveal deeper meanings about the mundane, circular nature of everyday life. The opening lines, "Sit down next to me, pretend that you understand / Sit down next to me and move your legs," suggest a desire for human connection and shared experiences in a world that can often feel isolating and mechanical. The repeated refrain of "la la la" reinforces this idea of seeking simple pleasures and moments of joy amidst the monotony of daily routines.
The chorus, "Stop squeezing your eyes shut / Unnecessary rotation on the carousel / Maybe yawn a bit and maybe sing a bit / La la la la," further emphasizes the importance of breaking free from the endless cycle of work and stress and embracing a more carefree, playful attitude. The song's title, "Stroj," which means "machine" in Czech, underscores this theme of feeling trapped in a mechanized existence and longing for something more.
Overall, "Stroj" is a call to action to step off the treadmill and enjoy the present moment, to connect with others and find joy in the simple things in life.
