An 8-piece Czech band from Úvaly near Prague, formed in 1996. DB is both hated and loved by many because of its simple but sometimes quite catchy lyrics and music where we can hear many instruments, but is not too complex in the first place.
It is hard to define what genre Divokej Bill is. Sometimes its music is defined as folk rock, celtic rock, country and so on; members think it might be "redneck rock" as they are from a small town and are influenced by it.
DB has attended a lot of festivals in last few years like its home Ouvalskej bigbít, Rock for People or Masters of Rock. DB also does a lot of its own gigs nationwide.
Divokej Bill is closely related to Medvěd 009 because they are both from Úvaly, and Vašek Bláha is a singer and guitarist in both bands.

Pomalu vzniká přetlak podobně jako v papiňáku
Zhasly světla všude kolem je tma
Smrad pekla a Lucifer u Tebe v obýváku!
Budem asi v pekle kolem šlehaj plameny
Čerti unavený přikusujou zelí
Tváří se vztekle protože je kyselý
No a to no a to je celý
Budem asi v pekle kolem šlehaj plameny
Čerti unavený přikusujou zelí
Tváří se vztekle protože je kyselý
No a to je no a to je celý
Přišla naše hodina
Jsme si stoprocentně jístý!
Přišla naše hodina H
Jsme si stoprocentně jistý!
The lyrics of "Tádada" by Divokej Bill delve into themes of conformity, rebellion, and a sense of impending doom. The opening lines depict a group of people marching forward, seemingly cloned and manufactured like copies from a copier. This imagery suggests a loss of individuality and a sense of homogeneity. The reference to a pressure building up, similar to in a pressure cooker, further reinforces the idea of tension and suffocation.
As the lyrics progress, there is a sense of inevitability and resignation. The darkness surrounding them symbolizes a feeling of despair and hopelessness, with even Lucifer himself present in their living room. This could be interpreted as a metaphor for facing one's inner demons or succumbing to external pressures and temptations.
The repeated refrain of "Přišla naše hodina" (Our time has come) emphasizes a moment of reckoning or realization. The certainty expressed in the lyrics suggests a newfound confidence or perhaps a moment of clarity after a period of uncertainty. There is a sense of finality and determination in these words, indicating a readiness to face whatever challenges lie ahead.
The final verses paint a vivid picture of chaos and suffering, with flames licking around them and demons feasting on cabbage. The sourness of the cabbage could symbolize bitterness or regret in the face of impending punishment. Despite the vivid and unsettling imagery, there is also a hint of defiance and acceptance in the repeated line "No a to je no a to je celý" (And that's it, that's all). This acceptance of their fate, combined with a defiant attitude, gives a nuanced portrayal of facing adversity with courage and resilience.
