Ânsia de Viver

Sou escravo
Visando a nada lhe faltar
Me endivido
E nessa ânsia de viver
Eu me mato
Pra me aquecer
Com o seu calor
Se quer saber por que você
Logo direi
É um bater descompassado
Que me vem
Nem é preciso Deus dizer
O certo sou eu
Pra conviver
Com os lábios seus
E na luz que existe
Para o dia iluminar
Vê-se um par romântico
Se beijar se olhando
No fundo azul
É zoom, é zen
Você e eu
E mais ninguém
E na luz que existe
Para o dia iluminar
Vê-se um par romântico
Se beijar se olhando
No fundo azul
É zoom, é zen
Você e eu
Já que o amor soberano
Pode enxergar no escuro
Vou estar sempre esperando
Você me aclamar
O seu porto seguro
Se pretender me dominar
Sou escravo
Visando a nada lhe faltar
Me endivido
E nessa ânsia de viver
Eu me mato
Pra me aquecer
Com o seu calor
Se quer saber por que você
Logo direi
É um bater descompassado
Que me vem
Nem é preciso Deus dizer
O certo sou eu
Pra conviver
Com os lábios seus
E na luz que existe
Para o dia iluminar
Vê-se um par romântico
Se beijar se olhando
No fundo azul
É zoom, é zen
Você e eu
E mais ninguém
E na luz que existe
Para o dia iluminar
Vê-se um par romântico
Se beijar se olhando
No fundo azul
É zoom, é zen
Você e eu
Já que o amor soberano
Pode enxergar no escuro
Vou estar sempre esperando
Você me aclamar
O seu porto seguro
The lyrics to Djavan's song "Ânsia de Viver" (Desire to Live) speak to a deep longing for love and a willingness to sacrifice and be enslaved by that love. The lyrics convey a sense of desperation and a desire to do anything to have the person they love not miss out on anything. It is as if the singer is willing to go into debt just to make sure their loved one has everything they need.
The line "E nessa ânsia de viver, Eu me mato, Pra me aquecer, Com o seu calor" (And in this desire to live, I kill myself, To warm myself, With your warmth) metaphorically captures the extent to which the singer is willing to go to feel the warmth and love of the person they desire. They are willing to sacrifice their own well-being for the sake of being consumed by love.
Throughout the song, there is a theme of the singer's belief that they are the right one for their loved one, regardless of what anyone else says or what God may say. They feel a strong connection with the person they love and are content in their presence. The line "Com os lábios seus" (With your lips) suggests that the singer finds solace and happiness in the kisses and intimacy shared with their loved one.
The overall message of the song seems to be about the power of love to bring joy and fulfillment, even in the face of sacrifice and hardships. The singer sees themselves as a pair, connected intimately and romantically with their loved one, and they are willing to wait patiently for the moment when their loved one will recognize their worth ("Você me aclamar, O seu porto seguro" - You acclaim me, your safe harbor).
