Magia
Djavan Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Só pra você
Reserve o mito da magia
Só pra você
Das leis sobrenaturais
Do amor jamais
Existiu você
Existiu você
Reserve o mito da magia
Só para você
Reserve o mito da magia
Só pra você
Na dor unilateral
Do anti-amor na qual
Evadiu você
Evadiu você
The lyrics to Djavan's song Magia convey a sense of reserving something special and magical for oneself. The repeated phrase, "Reserve o mito da magia só pra você," which translates to "Reserve the myth of magic just for you," emphasizes the idea of keeping something sacred and unique for oneself. The following lines, "Das leis sobrenaturais do amor jamais existiu você," meaning "You never existed in the supernatural laws of love," portrays a sense of isolation and uniqueness. The next lines, "Na dor unilateral do anti-amor na qual evadiu você," express the feeling of being lost and alone in the pain of unrequited love from which one must escape.
The lyrics, translated from Portuguese, blend melancholy and hope in the fleeting nature of love as a mystical, almost otherworldly force. The result is a moving message about the power of personal myth and the complexity and fragility of love.
