Ben Zaken was born in Jerusalem, to Israeli-born parents of both Ashkenazi Jewish (Polish-Jewish) and Moroccan Jewish descent. Her parents are Maya, a teacher, and Shai a Lieutenant colonel in the Israel Defense Forces. At age one, her family moved to the Northern city of Kiryat Shmona.
She has been successful since her first album, "מלכת השושנים" (Malkat Hashoshanim, meaning "Queen of the Roses"), was released. The album received a gold certification after selling more than 15,000 copies. Ben Zaken won the title "Singer Of The Year" in 2015, from several Israeli radio stations, the TV channel 24 and the popular Internet site Mako. She won the title again in 2016 and 2017. In 2017, Ben Zaken won another "Singer of the year" title, from the public radio station 'Kan Gimel', and "Woman Of The Year” title, from Galgalatz, the most-popular radio station in Israel.

The song Mishtara by Eden Ben Zaken depicts a party scene happening in the neighborhood where everyone is having a great time, singing, and drinking. It's a weekend and as usual, everyone is gathered in the courtyard, but the singer realizes that one of their friends hasn't shown up yet, and so they receive a call from them, explaining that they're stuck in traffic. The singer gives them instructions on how to join them before the neighbor from across the street calls the police complaining about the noise.
As the party continues, the singer tells us how the neighbors are in panic because of the noise, but that's not going to stop them from having fun. The singer and their friends want to forget all the problems and enjoy themselves like children. They pass the microphone around and sing songs together, dedicating a song to Eleanor. The party is interrupted as the neighbors continue to complain and threaten to call the police, so the singer asks for just one more song before they have to leave.
