The band eventually broke up in 1996 and Bunbury started his solo career in 1997 with a techno album, Radical Sonora with his new band: Copi (piano), del Moran (bass), Ramón Gacias (drums) and former Héroes del Silencio guitarrist Alan Boguslavsky.
Recognized by his wish to always reinvent himself, Bunbury released in 1999 the album Pequeño, which sounded much different than anything he did before. His band also suffered changes, Boguslavsky was replaced by Rafa Domínguez, and the new faces, Ana Belén Estaje (violin), Luis Miguel Romero (percussion), Javier Iñigo, Javier García Vega & Antonio Ríos in the metal instruments.
This band was known as the "Huracán Ambulante" ("Rambling Hurricane") and recorded with Bunbury the rest of his solo discography, (except Antonio Ríos).
In 2005, after 8 years together, Bunbury dissolved the band and declared that will record a new album in 2006 only with his voice and a piano. Nevertheless, in early 2006 he recorded an album with spanish artist Nacho Vegas by the name of El tiempo de las cerezas.
His old band, Héroes del Silencio, reunited in 2007 for a short tour which visited Latin America, United States and Spain.
Hoy no estoy para nadie

Dejé conectado el contestador
La nevera está llena
De latas vacías
No me importa qué digan
O qué piensen de mí
Han pasado dos días
No quiero salir
Sé que hay gente ahí fuera
Que se preocupó
Hoy he escrito dos líneas
Que no eran para ti
Hoy no estoy para nadie
Hoy no estoy para nadie
El domingo a la tarde
Es un día importante
Traerán el hachís
Como todo está oscuro
Me encuentro mejor
Sólo espero
Que sea un buen material
Hoy no estoy para nadie
Hoy no estoy para nadie
Pediré perdón al salir
Pediré, pediré, al salir
Hoy no estoy para nadie
Hoy no estoy para nadie
Han pasado los días
Sigo aquí encerrado
Sin poder salir
Sé que no hay gente ahí fuera
Y empieza a llover
Hoy no estoy para nadie
The lyrics of Hoy no estoy para nadie (Today I am not available to anyone) by Enrique Bunbury depict a protagonist who is introverted, introspective and lacking in motivation. The opening lines “Hoy no estoy para nadie / Dejé conectado el contestador” (Today I am not available to anyone / I left the answering machine connected) suggest that the singer does not want to deal with anyone and wants to avoid human interaction. The following line “La nevera está llena / De latas vacías” (The fridge is full of empty cans) creates a visual image of emptiness and lack of energy. The singer shows a disregard for what others think of him, focusing only on his internal world.
The second verse reinforces these feelings of isolation and lack of motivation. The singer has been locked up at home for two days, and he does not want to leave the house. Although he acknowledges that people are worrying about him, he does not care. He has written two lines (probably song lyrics) that are not for anyone else.
The third verse gives the impression that the singer is a drug addict or at least involved in some form of substance abuse. The line “Traerán el hachís” (They will bring the hashish) suggests that the singer is waiting for a drug dealer to bring him some drugs. The lines “Como todo está oscuro / Me encuentro mejor” (Since everything is dark / I feel better) suggests that he uses drugs as a way of escaping reality.
Overall, the song portrays a feeling of depression, isolation, and addiction. The singer is not available to anyone, even though he knows that people are worrying about him. He is waiting for drugs to arrive and doesn’t care about anything else.
