11. ulice milcza
Farben Lehre Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
W dole pracują robotnicy wyrobnicy
Głośno grają organy fortepiany
Głoszą wszem i wobec idą zmiany
Powietrze pełne spalin i dymu z kominów
W dole gdzieniegdzie zaśpiewają ptaki
Głośno grają fabryczne maszyny
Ulice milczą nic nie mówią
Milczą milczą jednak widzą
Milczą milczą nic nie mówią
Milczą
Nic się nie opłaca można jedynie marzyć
O normalnym życiu lecz w oczach brak wiary
Każdy cicho siedzi w szarym kącie
Nieważne kto rządzi byle były pieniądze
Ci na samej górze budują by burzyć
W dole posłuszeństwo brak jedności
Młodzi protestują w piwnicach garażach
Ale tego krzyku nikt nie zauważa
Ulice milczą nic nie mówią
Milczą milczą jednak widzą
Milczą milczą nic nie mówią
Milczą nienawidzą
A ulice milczą nic nie mówią
Milczą milczą jednak widzą
Milczą milczą nic nie mówią
Milczą bo się boją
Bo się boją
The lyrics of Farben Lehre's song "11. ulice milcza" depict a stark contrast between the different layers of society and the struggles faced by the working class. The first verse sets the scene with a powerful imagery of gods and figures at the top, while workers toil below. The mention of loud organs and pianos playing signifies a grandiose display of power and control, while also hinting at the changing times.
The next verse paints a bleak picture of pollution and industrialization, with smoke and fumes filling the air from factory chimneys. Amidst this, there is a subtle reference to nature with birds singing in the distance. The industrial machines are described as playing loudly, highlighting the relentless and monotonous rhythm of factory work. This juxtaposition of nature and industrialization emphasizes the loss of harmony and balance in society.
The chorus "Ulice milczą nic nie mówią" (The streets are silent, say nothing) suggests a sense of resignation and powerlessness among the people. Despite witnessing the injustices and inequalities around them, they choose to remain silent, perhaps out of fear or apathy. The lyrics touch upon the disillusionment and lack of hope felt by many who can only dream of a better life but lack the belief in its possibility.
The final verses address the social divide and the lack of unity among the people. While those in power continue to build and destroy from their lofty positions, the working class remains divided and obedient. The mention of protests by the youth in basements and garages symbolizes a desire for change and resistance, yet their voices go unnoticed. The repetition of the phrase "Ulice milczą" reinforces the theme of silence and fear that pervades society, with a sense of underlying tension and resentment bubbling beneath the surface.
Overall, the lyrics of "11. ulice milcza" by Farben Lehre reflect on the socio-political landscape and the struggles faced by the marginalized in a society marked by inequality and injustice. The song serves as a poignant commentary on the power dynamics, apathy, and fear that hush the voices of dissent and perpetuate the status quo.
