Ferry Corsten Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I can play thwm like a ken doll
Wont wash my hair
Then make them bounce like basket nalls
You make me glow but i cover up the pain never break a sweat for the other guy
The lyrics to Ferry Corsten's song "Blueprint" describe the singer's ability to manipulate others when they don't care about the consequences. The singer compares their subjects to "Ken dolls," indicating that they are easily molded and made to conform to the singer's desires. The singer also references their own appearance, stating that they don't bother to wash their hair but are still able to control those around them.
Despite their ability to control others, the singer is masking inner emotional pain. They note that someone else makes them "glow," but that they cover up their pain and never exert themselves for this person. This suggests that the singer may be using their control over others as a way to distract themselves from their own emotional struggles.
Overall, the lyrics to "Blueprint" explore themes of power and control, as well as the ways in which people may use those tools to avoid confronting their own emotions.
