If you have the time, would you mind telling me how you pedal this?

Once every measure or twice, or every beat?

I feel like if you I don't lift the pedal often enough the sound gets very muddy, but I also want the notes to ring out as much as they can, it's quite the dilemma.

Thanks in advance! Your playing is wonderful, not enough people know of/play this piece.

Oh, also, how do you feel about splitting the left hand line between hands, and playing the top note with the right hand? It makes it much more comfortable but maybe a bit less even and can be confusing for the right hand playing the rhythm and melody. I'm still trying to iron out my approach to this piece.

Thanks so much in advance if you get a chance to reply to this; it would help so much! I totally get it if you don't have the time though

Again, love your playing! This is absolutely wonderful, I hope your channel blows up

@AbstracticalMusic

This is sooo good. You expressed this piece sooo good that I don't even have words for praising you. And the visuals are just amazing! The visuals have now made it The Flaming Piano.

The darkness has been wonderfully brought out over here....

Wonderful performance, Flaming-San! 🤗🤗🥰🥰

I love this prelude....super dark and love the rhythm and strange harmonics within. You played it fantastically to bring out the best of each note and at a beautiful pace. Chopin's darker moments were understandable since he suffered such horrible respiratory problems on and off since his teenage years and which was eventually the cause of his own demise. You can really feel the desperation that Chopin must have been feeling when he composed it. Excellent interpretation and performance Jason. Take good care, ~Jackie

Youtube deleted my comment... anyway thanks a lot! Good point with that story

@ClassicalJams

@@TheFlamingPiano You're welcome Jason! YouTube is going bonkers these days!... and not in a good way.

Chopin was music was always like that....fantastic, mysterious..his pieces are not difficulty

@ClassicalJams

@@ShadowCXC-ok4ff Are you a pianist? This particular work is not difficult, but most Chopin pieces ARE definitely difficult, ranging from moderately difficult to insanely difficult! One of the most complex and prolific composers in history. I used to study and play many of his pieces in recitals in my youth, but now I suffer from some serious hand problems that prevent me from having the extreme dexterity of my younger years. I still love to play though. Have a great day :-) ~Jackie

@@ClassicalJams | I know 'Jackie', yes, i am Pianist, and what i say Is that Chopin pieces are not only focused on the Difficulty as well as Liszt pieces, his pieces are....imaginative, very fantastic telling you a story....he wrote lots of hard pieces but it's not only difficulty

@SLDDPiano

Awesome as always! This is actually one of my favorite pieces, there's something so beautiful about the way Chopin used dissonance without resolving it right away but letting it ring and stand on its own as opposed to only acting as a tension for a consonant resolution.
