Reach for the Stars
Girls Under Glass Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
and the light of the dawn and the shadow in your face, reach for the stars and you will touch them
Yeah it's got the feeling, and it's got the future, you hold your hands out with nothing to give
your mind and your body slave to a memory and a quiet smile, 'til the moment is past
When You are alone by yourself, reach for the stars and you can touch them..
You give all that you have, to give a meaning, you have nothing to hide, to hide at all
your mind and your body slave to a memory and a quiet smile 'til the moment is past
The central theme of the song "Reach for the Stars" by Girls Under Glass is about staying motivated in life and reaching out for your dreams. The song suggests that when you are alone and feeling down, uplift yourself with positive thoughts and try to aim for your goals. By reaching out for the stars, one can grasp them and find the path to success. The song offers the hope that one should never give up on their dreams, no matter how trying the times may seem.
The verses of the song seem to suggest that the journey towards achieving one's dreams can be tough and lonely. However, the chorus offers encouragement by telling the listener that they are capable of touching the stars if they persevere. The song also touches on the idea that past experiences and memories can be a hindrance to growth and success. It suggests that it's important to let go of past grievances and focus on the future.
