Either praised up to the skies or torn apart as "Schlager" (a German derogatory term for bad pop songs) – be that as it may, for the last decade, Johannes Berthold and his band have left their mark on the Dark scene...
ILLUMINATE manage to combine classical elements, dance rhythms, electronic sound collages, romantic piano parts and heavy guitars without being unfaithful to their typical, unmistakable sound. After seventeen years of band history, 12 studio albums, world-wide life-performances, and having an enormous fan-base, ILLUMINATE are one of the most successful acts of the Alternative / Dark Wave-segment.

His works incorporate headbanging elements of Hard Bass Music with Melodic Trance Synths into Modern Electronic Dance Music. Excelente canción, de Illuminate todas las canciones tienen ese algo que te atrapan, la realización del video de calidad, las imágenes perfectas. No pude ir a verlos en el dada x cuando se presentaron aquí en ciudad de México, y cuando anunciaron nueva gira que nuevamente vendrían me emocione demasiado, pero lastima cancelaron por falta de seguridad, que no se garantizaba seguridad y pfffff. Tengo la esperanza que en algún momento volverán, Johannes sabe perfectamente que México lo aprecia y que valoramos bastante su música.

es darkware es una rama del gothic metal pero este grupo es algo inespicable su musica es bellisima a demas tiene un toque positivo que lo distengue de muchas bandas

@mionrelax La verdad es dificil encasillarlos en un solo genero, ellos hacen música por lo que sienten o viven, no tanto por ser parte de un genero u otro, pero creo que bien podrían estar dentro del gothic o darkwave. Lo importante es que te guste :)
