She doesn't wear any wings
She wears a heart that can melt my own
Wears a smile that can make me wanna sing
She gives me presents
With her presence alone
She gives me everything I could wish for
Gives me kisses on the lips just for coming home
She could make angels
I've seen it with my own eyes
You gotta be careful when you've got good love
'Cause the angels will just keep on multiplying
Ah, but you're so busy changing the world
Just one smile and you can change all of mine
We share the same soul
Oh oh oh oh
We share the same soul
Oh oh oh oh
We share the same soul
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh
The lyrics of Jack Johnson's song "Holiday" describe the singer's love for a special person in their life who they refer to as an "angel". The song emphasizes that this person doesn't have wings or any magical qualities, but they are still everything the singer could ever wish for. The angel's presence alone is a gift to the singer, and their loving smile and kind heart can make them want to sing. The angel gives the singer kisses on the lips just for coming home, and the singer has witnessed the angel's ability to make other people happy too. The singer acknowledges that having good love is something to be careful with because it will keep on multiplying.
The chorus of the song emphasizes the connection between the singer and the angel, and how they share the same soul. The singer tells the angel that they are so busy changing the world, but just one of their smiles can change all of the singer's world. This highlights how important the angel is to the singer, and how the love they share is enough to make the world a better place.
Overall, "Holiday" is a sweet and simple ode to the power of love and the special people who can light up our world with their presence.
