When singer Bettina Mischke and keyboard player Roland Grosch decided to found Jazzamor in 2001 they perhaps did not imagine that their minimalistic lounge arrangements would take off so quickly. Two albums in three years have highlighted their productivity as they firm out their smoothe 60s jazzy sounds in Europe's main languages. The albums' commercial success have decided the pair on plunging into the live circuit with the same passion they brought to their recordings.
In 2006 they released their third studio album "Travel... (In Order Not To Arrive)". A trip around the world in music. Each song is placed at a special setting in the world. Sometimes it's the language, other times it's an instrument, a rhythm or a story that brings us on a journey to a distant country or a city. Sometimes it's just a wishful dream, other times tales of being there.

Jazzamor Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
He smiles like a child
His gentleness flows and flows for miles
And if you look in his eyes
You'll see a thousand lost goodbyes
The honesty of love
Gathered up inside his mind
That has me crossing over lines
If i could change my life
Would i dare to be alone
If i could change my life
How would it be to love and feel everything's the same
So soft in his ways
It calls me to his holy place
Seducing me to stay
Surrender 'til I must obey
But will it be enough
And will i ever take his name
Is it desire that i want
I can't go back the way i came
If i could change my life
Would i dare to be alone
If i could change my life
How would it be to love and feel everything's the same
If i could change my life
Would i dare to be alone
If i could change my life
How would it be to love and feel everything's the same
The song "Tibet" by Jazzamor is a love song about a complicated relationship between two people. The singer describes a man who is gentle and kind, but also seems to carry some pain and sadness within himself. She is drawn to him, to his holy place, but is unsure if their connection is enough to sustain a deeper commitment. The singer is torn between the desire for change and the fear of being alone.
The opening verse sets the tone for the song, with a description of the man's childlike smile and gentle nature. There is a sense of distance, however, as the singer notes the sadness in his eyes and the many goodbyes he has experienced. The honesty of his love is contrasted with the uncertainty of the singer's desire; she wonders if she wants what he has to offer, or if she is simply crossing lines.
The second verse delves deeper into the dynamic between the two. The man's soft ways call to the singer, and she is seduced by the idea of staying with him, of surrendering until she must obey. But there is still doubt, still the question of whether their love is enough. The chorus repeats the same questions, emphasizing the singer's yearning for change.
Overall, the song is a meditation on the complexities of love and commitment. The singer recognizes the beauty in the connection she shares with the man, but also acknowledges the fear of loneliness and the craving for change. It is a poignant and emotional depiction of a relationship in flux.
