Ushio got his start in 2003 as the producer and sound engineer for Takkyu Ishino (石野卓球) and DISCO TWINS. Following that, he provided production and live technical engineering for RYUKYUDISKO.
His first solo appearance was on the Takkyu Ishino compilation "Gathering Traxx Vol.1" where his song "colours" was included. The strength of this song helped him secure a contract with Ki/oon records, which released his debut album "a day, phases" in 2008.
Two years later, his sophomore album "equal" was released. In 2011, he joined iLL and miki furukawa to form the band LAMA.

SPOILER.
If you continue the manga after the school festival where the movie ends theres actually more delevolpment between the two an quite some time passes. shoya comforts shouko by a double door. She seems neverous. Shoya sees this an comforts her. Tells her how they met an stuff leading up to now that they both arent alone anymore cause they'll be there with each other. The next couple of images shows both blushing an he takes her ahold of her hand an walks through a door which "everyone" is waiting for them. It then shows that shoya slightly grown is in a suit an shouko, now more curvy, is in a formal dress. They open the door but it's just a bright light then ends. Author note at the end, "Dont be sad the story is over, but gald that we met."
