Changing World
Kutless Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I thought my fate was still in my hands
All of my plans were firmly set
By the words that I say
I forgot how quickly things can change
Now my vision can not be the same
My life is not what I thought
Though something's gone
There's nothing wrong with my changing world
Though something's gone
There's nothing wrong with my changing world
I need to let go of my destiny
I need to trust in things unseen
I believe in having faith
Though I yield my control
I forgot how quickly things can change
Now my vision can not be the same
I'm embracing all of my fears
I am watching them turn to delight
The very fears which were gripping my mind
Are now the hands shaping and sculpting my dreams
The song "Changing World" by Kutless describes the internal struggle that arises when our plans are disrupted and our destiny seems out of our hands. The first verse describes a sense of confidence that one has in their future, believing that their fate is determined by their own actions and decisions. However, as we all know, life is unpredictable and can change in an instant. The chorus addresses the fact that our lives don't always go as planned, but that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with that. We should embrace the changes that come our way, even if they're unexpected.
The second verse reveals a need to let go of our own desires and trust in something greater than ourselves. The theme of faith is introduced, suggesting that we need to have a belief in something beyond our control. The song encourages us to accept the fact that we cannot always control what happens in our lives, and that we need to embrace our fears and let them shape us for the better. The bridge of the song signifies a change in perspective, as the singer lets go of their fears and embraces the uncertainty of the future, turning their fears into something positive that will shape their future.
Overall, "Changing World" is a song about acceptance and embracing the unpredictability of life. It encourages us to have faith in something greater than ourselves and to let go of our desire for control. Only then can we truly embrace the changes that arise and shape us into who we are meant to be.
