Para hacer un cover primero deben aprenderse la letra de la canción, no es algo muy difícil...
Dicen: "yo no he visto en verano, la del alba que azote"! Si revisan un poco la historia de la canción encontrarán que es: yo no he visto en verano, la vela en marquesote.

+Néstor Fabián Cuintaco Neira tampoco conoce Colombia, marquesote es un cerro en la costa, que tiene una cascada y la cultura vallenata le dice "la vela" porque desde lejos parece una vela iluminando. Claro que no va a salir en un diccionario.

Si quiere ver un ejemplo vea la canción Bajan, donde la versión de Cerati tiene diferencias liricas a la original de Spinetta y es una gran tonada.
En conclusión, los cambios mínimos no alteran el espiritu esencial de la canción.
