For several years they toured, both solo and together, as choir members before they decided to team up as a duo. After this decision, things took off quickly with an EP in February 2012 and winning awards at the Francouvertes.
Since then they have performed at various festivals and won other prestigious awards, like the "best new artist" at the GAMIQ's.
Their album, "Le Poids des Confettis", was released in March of 2013 and quickly gained popularity and awards, including "Revelation of the year" and "Best folk album" along with several other nominations.

JUS DE BOUSSOLE
Les soeurs Boulay Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Demain, je t'ai voulu
Mais ton corps était perdu
Au large
Passe par la ruelle
J'ai condamné la fenêtre
À force de peut-être
Mais je te souhaite
De déposer ta tête folle
Dans le jus
De boussole
Merci, mais laisse faire
Et reprends tes avances
J'ai décoré ton absence
D'espace
Et je garde ma colère
Pour de meilleures batailles
Le vent qui te travaille
Me gâche
Et je te souhaite
De déposer ta tête folle
Dans le jus
De boussole
Fuis-moi je te suis-moi
Je te fuis-moi je te tue
Prévisible et prévu
Depuis le départ
Maintenant, soyons sincères
Hier, je t'ai voulu
Mais ton pôle ne m'attire plus
Dommage
The song "Jus de boussole" by Les soeurs Boulay is about a relationship that has lost its way. The singer, who is singing to their partner, is being honest about their feelings. They confess that yesterday they wanted them, but today their body is lost at sea. The singer tells their partner to pass through the alleyway, even though they have sealed the window. The singer confesses their frustration in never knowing if they will reunite or separate.
The singer then wishes for their partner to find peace and direction amidst the chaos of their relationship, in the 'jus de boussole.' This phrase can be translated to 'the juice of the compass,' which can be interpreted as seeking direction and guidance. The singer has decorated the absence of their partner with space, and they hold onto their anger for more significant battles. The final lines reveal that the singer's attraction to their partner has faded, but it is a shame because they long for the passion they once shared.
