For several years they toured, both solo and together, as choir members before they decided to team up as a duo. After this decision, things took off quickly with an EP in February 2012 and winning awards at the Francouvertes.
Since then they have performed at various festivals and won other prestigious awards, like the "best new artist" at the GAMIQ's.
Their album, "Le Poids des Confettis", was released in March of 2013 and quickly gained popularity and awards, including "Revelation of the year" and "Best folk album" along with several other nominations.

Prière
Les soeurs Boulay Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Une p’tite flamme dans mon corps
Pour t’inviter à entrer
Quand tu restais dehors
J’ai attendu longtemps
À t’appeler encore
Come to me my baby
J’attendrai (ah ah ah...)
The song "Prière" by Les soeurs Boulay is about longing for someone who is either physically absent or emotionally distant. The singer keeps a figurative "little flame" burning inside of them to invite this person in, even when they are "staying outside". They are waiting for this person to come to them, but they are hesitant to ask for fear of "losing them at the port" or "uprooting" their repaired lives. The singer acknowledges that it may not be right to want to break everything apart, but they still hold out hope for this person to come to them.
The repetition of the line "J’attendrai" (I’ll wait) throughout the song underscores the theme of patience and waiting. The singer is willing to wait for this person to come to them, even if it means enduring the cold and darkness of winter. They believe in the power of their prayer, and they trust that their longing will eventually be fulfilled. The song is both sad and hopeful, capturing the emotional complexity of waiting for someone you love.

Réveille-toi si tu dors
Wake up if you're sleeping
