Am Fluss
Letzte Instanz Lyrics

The lyrics to Letzte Instanz's "Am Fluss" speak about the idea of change and moving on, while holding onto a sense of home and roots. The singer walks along the river that they were born near, reflecting on how things have changed since they left. Despite feeling a sense of homesickness and longing, they know that they must continue moving forward in life.
The song begins with the singer walking along the river, describing how it flows calmly as it did before. They reflect on the fact that they were born in a bend of the river and feel a connection to the place. However, they also recognize that they must leave and move on to new experiences in order to grow as a person. The line "Du musst erst gehen, um wieder zurück zu kehren" means "You must first leave in order to return." This highlights the idea that we must leave our comfort zones and explore new horizons in order to grow and appreciate what we have.
The chorus of the song speaks to the theme of change and growth. The singer acknowledges that things cannot stay the same and that change is inevitable. They describe it as a "yes" and "no" at the same time, and recognize that although things may be new, they are not permanent. The final verse talks about how the singer's wheat is now growing elsewhere, symbolizing how their life has moved on and changed. They still feel a sense of nostalgia and attachment to their home, but ultimately, they know that they must keep moving forward.
