When Lil B titled his last digital label released mixtape I'm Gay, he received several death threats. Although he is heterosexual, he says the title is a message of support to the LGBT community. Referring to the alternative definition of gay, he says he is gay because he is happy. Following the death threats, he added "I'm Happy" in parenthesis to the album's title. I'm Gay received positive reviews with many fans commenting on the album's wide variety of positive messages and noting the unique beats and lyrical styles not common to mainstream hip hop. He raps about many controversial issues including race relations, poverty, humanity, and the justice system. The album also, according to many fans, shows the "true" side of Lil B. It entered the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart at #56 and the Heatseekers Albums chart at #20 for the week of July 16, 2011. It is for sale on iTunes but Lil B also uploaded it to the Internet for free, posting a link to it on Twitter and Facebook saying, "for all my fans who don't have $10 to buy my album, here it is for free."
Lil B typically releases at least one mixtape every month; so far in 2012 he has released 13 mixtapes - 4 in July alone. One of those released in July was the massive 848-song, nearly 5GB collection of Based Freestyles, which is his largest release to date. In 2013, hip-hop listeners voted Lil B as the greatest rapper of all time.

Never speak on rapping long blood line
Never speak on trappin'
Nobody happy over here only drugs and guns
America you gotchu one
Because the game so sick
You went and copped you one
Ten year beater is the new probation
With your head lookin' down while
You sittin at the station
'Cuz you made a mistake, survival in the hood
You won't catch a break, be smart
Don't be no dummy don't buy no dope
Nigga save your money
My homie twenty, four with two fourteens
He seventeen won't see him
'Till he 37 niggas shed blood
Thinkin' they gon' go to heaven
You robbin' niggas
That's the way you gon' lose your blessings
Sit down, be patient through the hard times
You gon' get way more in the long run
But I see some people, is examples
But I ain't no muthafuckin
Test nigga pay attention
Niggas catchin AIDS from freakin'
These hoes raw
Like 'Pac said, God I been lying to ya
But really God, is in your inner soul
But that's too deep for
You motherfuckers to fathom
I keep my mouth closed and keep my eyes open
Cuz the jail time owe me niggas say too much
They try to black mail me
Never scared but I see you niggas snitchin'
The whole world is populated by bitches
And I still play on defense
Until I'm out the hood these
Suckaz won't catch a break
Don't come in my yard i won't touch yours
Don't touch my dominoes
Won't fuck witcha house
Boy complete house over here
This the gold house
I'm the one that's gon' grind
Through the fuckin drought
I'm the one with the rock and the T-R-U
I'm the one singin' haters what
The fuck you gon' do it's Lil' B
Lil Boss who the fuck is you bitch
One time for the one time
Like I said, Silent President mixtape
The lyrics to Lil B's song "Got You Forever" touch on various themes and issues prevalent in society, particularly in marginalized communities. Lil B begins by stating that he speaks for the individuals involved in criminal activities, emphasizing that he won't mention their rap skills or their involvement in drug dealing. He paints a dark picture of their lives, with no happiness but only drugs and guns. Lil B then sarcastically comments that America has gained one more troubled individual in its midst.
The following lines highlight the harsh reality of the game these individuals are involved in. Lil B refers to the challenges they face, such as being pulled over by the police and having to deal with the consequences of their actions. He suggests that owning a rundown car for ten years has become a substitute for being on probation, illustrating the cycle of hardship and struggle. Lil B advises against involving oneself in illegal activities, urging his listeners to be smart and save their money instead of buying drugs.
The second verse focuses on the consequences of criminal actions. Lil B mentions a friend who is incarcerated for a long sentence, likely due to robbery or violence. He emphasizes that these actions will only result in the loss of blessings and advises patience through difficult times, as there will be greater rewards in the long run. Lil B acknowledges that some people serve as bad examples, but he refuses to be tested and urges others to pay attention. He criticizes the spread of AIDS due to promiscuity, mirroring Tupac's message about the dangers of promiscuous behavior.
Lil B then turns his attention to a higher power, acknowledging that he has lied but believes that God exists within every individual's soul. However, he believes that this concept is too deep for others to grasp. He chooses to remain silent and observant, mentioning the possibility of being blackmailed and expressing his lack of fear. He criticizes society as being full of snitches and bitches, indicating a lack of trust and loyalty. Lil B asserts his presence in the hood, refusing to engage in conflict but also demanding respect for his own space and belongings. He presents himself as a hardworking individual, progressing through tough times despite any droughts. Lil B identifies himself as the one with the "rock" and the T-R-U, alluding to his success and credibility.
Overall, "Got You Forever" delves into themes of survival, struggle, consequences, and societal issues prevalent in marginalized communities. It offers a gritty and introspective perspective on these topics, delivering a thought-provoking message.
