The Sky Is Crying
Little Walter Lyrics

Jump to: Line by Line Meaning ↴

The sky is crying,
Can you see the tears roll down the street.
The sky is crying,
Can you see the tears roll down the street.
I've been looking for my baby
And I've been wondering where can she be

I my baby early one morning
She was walking on down the street
I my baby early one morning
She was walking on down the street
You know it hurt me, hurt me so bad
It made my poor heart skip a beat

I got a real, real fine feeling
That my baby she don't love me no more
I got a real, real fine feeling

That my baby she don't love me no more
You know the sky's been crying
Can see you see the tears roll down my door

Man, you sure got me on this'un. I never knew this was out there. Thank you ever so much....... I still can't understand though why/how Hound Dog's guitar tone hardened up from when this was recorded In Europeand when you hear him on alligator in 1971

@YEFJJ I began going to HDT gigs before the others artists you mentioned were around, & continued through the early 70s. The hard edge you refer to was in full force the whole time. It was passed -from- them , -not- to them.
