En 1996 iniciaron su carrera llamándose "Kaos", con la compañia discografica Sony Music., al principio integrada por Joe en las voces, Johan en los teclados, Aicardo Alzate en el bajo y Juan Camilo en la batería. Se dieron a conocer Barranquilla tocando en bares de la ciudad y luego de un tiempo decidieron grabar un Demo que los dio a conocer más ampliamente, luego en 1998 cambiaron su nombre por "Los De Adentro", en este mismo año graban un álbum homónimo. En lo cual hay dos invitados más colaborando con dicha producción: Tiago Melo y Miguel A Flores.
En esta producción se destacó un rock moderno influenciados por bandas de diferentes generaciones, de este álbum se desprende el gran clásico "Una Canción", tema por el cual son reconocidos. En 1995 participaron en el Festirock del Caribe, llevándose el galardón como mejor grupo de rock. La banda se hizo tan popular que fue en calidad de invitado especial en la fiesta que MTV latino organizo .Terminaron la producción de su segundo álbum decidieron desintegrarse, debido a que tenían muchos problemas entre ellos, causado por la cantidad de tiempo que pasaban juntos, se fueron a los estados unidos y cada uno tomó su propio camino.
Tiempo después les propusieron reunirse, pero solo Eliuth, Johan y Joe aceptaron el llamado, grabando así un álbum titulado "Volver a Amar" en el cual se destacan canciones como "Nubes Negras", "No Más" y "Tu y Yo". Al finalizar el trabajo con éste album Y habiendo cosechado gran éxito con éste, por motivos internos Joe carvajal decidió iniciar su carrera como solista.
En el año 2008 Los de Adentro presentaron su nueva producción discográfica llamada "se apaga el silencio" que incluye el éxito "Dime que sí", primer sencillo de este trabajo discográfico, en el cual estrenan nuevo vocalista, Bryan Visbal, dándole un nuevo performance, pero siguiendo con el mismo estilo que los caracteriza, LDA seguirá cautivando a toda la gente con su buen rock. En 2009 estuvieron nominados a los Premios Nuestra Tierra.
