Armoniquita

Mi Tiempo me tomé, Muy Lento caminé,
The lyrics of Los Pericos's song Armoniquita contain a deep message on the topic of redemption and resilience in the face of adversity. The song tells the story of the singer's journey, starting from a state of nothing to lose and observing the world with the eyes of a city dweller. The singer's name was turned around, which symbolizes a shift in identity and the realization that things are not always what they seem. By paying a high price for their freedom, the singer undergoes a transformation, but their journey is not without challenges. When the branch could not hold, the singer falls quickly, and no one gives them a place to rest. However, they take their time to walk slowly, healthy and safe to climb their way back up to where they belong.
The song reflects on the obstacles that we often face in life and the importance of perseverance and resilience in overcoming them. The phrase "de tanto resistir solo vos sabes por qué" (you only know why, after resisting so much) highlights the struggle of the singer and how only he or she can truly comprehend what it took to persevere. The lyrics also portray the idea of a personal ritual, implying that the singer found the strength to overcome through some sort of personal practice or belief system.
Overall, Armoniquita is a powerful song that speaks to the challenges and struggles that people face in life, and the importance of resilience and perseverance in overcoming them.

We talk about a ritual, of having nothing to lose,
With eyes of the city, I saw you being born.

My name was upside down and that was real for me.
I paid a high price for my freedom.

The branch didn't hold, I fell too fast.
nadie dió un lugar, todo se derrumbó
No one gave me a place, everything fell apart.
Mi Tiempo me tomé, Muy Lento caminé,
I took my time, I walked very slowly.
I climbed up safe and sound to return today.
The blows on my heart, under the same sky as yesterday.
Only you know why I resisted so much.
My lady who is the best, the champion of the place.
She remained with her taste, until the sun sets.
And I tell you: when I can't sleep at night,
Oh, when I can't sleep at night.
Going to my room, witches in my heart.
cuando no puedo dormir a la noche...
When I can't sleep at night...
