Largo Viaje
Los Pericos Lyrics

O empezando no lo se
En mi cama voy viajando
Y la ruta va al revés
Estamos yendo a algún lado
O volviendo sin saber
No recuerdo el paisaje
Es conocido a la vez
Largo y sin fin
Que largo que parece ser
Y es hoy
El tiempo se hace eterno
Un minuto se hace un mes
En el viaje de mi vida
Me despierto para ver
Que mi destino no es claro
Se alguna vez lo planee
Si el comienzo fue seguro
El final ya no lo ves
Largo el camino es
Largo y sin fin
Que largo que parece ser
Y es hoy
Me detengo un momento
Y aprovecho para ser
El que llena tus oidos
Y tu alma otra vez
Son las cosas de este viaje
Que quisiera retener
Me detengo un momento
Y aprovecho para ser
Largo el camino es
Largo y sin fin
Que largo que parece ser
Y es hoy.
The lyrics of Los Pericos's song "Largo Viaje" tell the story of a person who feels lost in their journey of life. The song opens with the person reflecting on whether it's the end or beginning of the day, indicating a sense of confusion and uncertainty. The lyrics then go on to describe the person's journey as a trip on a bed, with the route going in the opposite direction. The person is unsure if they are going somewhere or just returning without knowing where they came from. The scenery around them is familiar but equally unrecognizable, giving a sense of confusion and disorientation.
The person then reflects on how long the journey seems, and time appears to be eternal with a minute feeling like a month. The lyrics also suggest that the person is unsure of their destiny, and if they had ever planned it, they cannot see the end at this point. In the second part of the song, the person takes a moment to pause, reflecting on the beauty of the journey, and to take in the things they wish to retain. The singer then repeats the chorus, reiterating the endlessness of the path and expressing hope that today might yield some clarity.
Overall, "Largo Viaje" is a poignant song that speaks to the feelings of uncertainty and aimlessness that many people experience in their lives. The lyrics are beautifully written, capturing the emotions of the singer with a sense of elegance and grace.
