Adin-Tsaina
Mahaleo Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Dia lasa ny fisainana
Mifantoka ato an-tsaina
Ny tena adim-piainana.
Tapin-dalan-kaleha
Ity izaho efa trotraka
Ianao ihany anie
Izany ve moa
No mba hany vitanao
Ny zanantsika roa
Nilaozanao amin'izao
Any izao ianao
Lasan'iny olon'iny
Moa va adinonao
Ireto zanatsika dimy
Mahaleo's song Adin-Tsaina is a melancholic tune that expresses a sense of longing and sadness for things that are no longer there. The first verse translates to "When morning comes, my thoughts drift, and I ponder about the true meaning of life." The singer is reflecting on the fleeting nature of life and the uncertainty of what comes after. The second verse is more personal, with the singer confessing that they have suffered and that the only one who could comfort them is gone. The chorus repeats the phrase "Where are you now?" and asks about the five loved ones who are lost.
"Tapin-dalan-kaleha" in the second verse is a metaphor for the tears that the singer has shed. The loss they have experienced is clear in the line "Ianao ihany anie no tena nisompatra," meaning "Only you could comfort me." The line "Izany ve moa no mba hany vitanao" is an expression of desperation and a yearning for comfort. The singer is saying "Why did you have to leave me like this? What will become of me now?"
Adin-Tsaina is a tribute to the dead, a bittersweet song that evokes nostalgic memories of lost loved ones. It is a reflection on the impermanence of life and the inevitability of change. The song's mournful melody and introspective lyrics make it a beloved classic among Malagasy music fans.

J'adore cette chanson. Mais que de souvenirs ! C'était la jeunesse insouciante. Et quel peuple !?! Toujours gai et courageux malgré l'adversité et ce depuis '72 ! Veloma tompoko ary mahereza fa ny tolona mbola tsy vita !
